Forget every game that came before! Reality Rash is not entertainment, it is a FINAL MASTERPIECE in the history of human art. It is the MAGNUM OPUS OF GAME DESIGN, an experience that you don't just play, but that you LIVE at the deepest level of the soul. Its graphics are the materialization of Platonic aesthetics and its gameplay is the psychic extension of our will. I give it 1,000,000 stars! If you haven't played it, you are not living, you are merely waiting for the arrival of perfection. IT CHANGED MY LIFE!"2 found this helpful
Reality Rash is a 3D beat 'em up game with huge potential, but the game wastes that potential by being one of the most boring and disappointing game experiences ever. Let me say this first: Reality Rash is not horrible. It is just so bland and generic that you are probably going to forget you ever played it after a week. The story and the premise of the game are really cool. Four different realities collide, and you have to defeat each reality's boss to recover a core. After collecting all the cores, you can restore your reality. First, let's talk about the game's visual style, or lack thereof. The game is an eyesore. Both the enemies and player characters look like unfinished placeholder models. Especially the lighting in the Wild West stages is a mess. Some of the shadows are pitch black, and it is hard to see anything. The soundtrack is pretty underwhelming. The combat is really janky and not satisfying at all. Jessy and Fred have different combos. The button combinations are the same, but the moves change depending on the character. Jessy prefers using her kicks more, while Fred uses his fists. If you hold the attack button, you can launch your enemy into the air. It works most…1 found this helpful
This is likely the best beat em up i have played in awhile, The combat system is a lot like tekken, The A.i are not idiots & they will try to whoop dat A#s every chance they get lol, Being who i am, I'm not accepting a beat down by some sky-net wannabe, So with practice i flipped the script real fast, The combos are fun & require proper execution, Especially when getting attacked in groups, The parry & block system is a breath of fresh air for a beat em up of this style, The weapons can be a pain, Sometimes, All you need to throw is hands, Weapons can help, But its definitely depends on the overall situation, I mean can you get to the weapon without being shot or stabbed ? most likely not, the a.i is here to hit you in your mouth & make you rage, With that said, There are collectibles & secret locations to discover, At any time you can back track to make sure you didn't skip anything, The story is optional, It has great execution & the levels feel alive, The art, graphics are on point, the characters are fun, My only criticism is because of the lock on feature needs to be polished and modified to work more efficiently and accurately, with that said, This is a great game for beat em…1 found this helpful
I was excited about a new beat 'em up, but what an incredibly strange game! The enemies just keep beating you up, and you barely get a chance to attack them. Why don't the characters jump straight even when I'm pushing the stick left or right? I always jump at a slight angle. On top of that, I've set the game to 60 fps and the graphics to low, and I'm still getting micro-stuttering. I absolutely cannot recommend this game, and it's too expensive even if it were free.
Recomendo!
Reality Rash is a Brazilian game that stands out as a 3D beat 'em up inspired by classics of the genre such as Jackie Chan Stuntmaster, Streets of Rage, and TMNT, bringing a nostalgic experience with a modern twist. The game features classic arcade gameplay, with all moves and combos unlocked from the start, providing direct and intense action. One of the highlights of Reality Rash is its setting in four distinct worlds, the result of an engaging plot about realities, which creates a dynamic and interesting scenario for combat and exploration. In addition, the game offers local cooperative mode for two players. Visually, the game maintains a 3D aesthetic that respects the tradition of beat 'em ups, with graphics reminiscent of the classics, but with modern quality and fluidity. The original soundtrack also complements the atmosphere, reinforcing the immersion in the action and sci-fi vibe of the game. Highlights include fun, challenge, and fidelity to the classic style of the genre, as well as the quality of gameplay and setting.
