DREAMWILD

It's been a while ago that I played it but like... Back then I should've written a review the moment I finished the story. This game is visually EVERYTHING I could've wanted, musically ORGASMIC, and the gameplay is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CHEF KISS. Anyone that find this game, PLAY IT, IT IS WORTH YOUR WHILE.

I would like to preface this by saying I own every one of Fading Club's games, and Psychopomp Gold is one of my favorite games of all time which inspired me to play this because I thought I would also enjoy this. I love the music and visuals, however... I genuinely in good faith can not finish or recommend this game, at least not right now. This is easily one of the single most infuriating games I have ever played, which is extremely disappointing because I really enjoyed my earliest runs. The more i played, the more frustrated I became. I just want to break some things down and why they don't work: when you get hit, you lose your ability to shoot. which would be a cool mechanic if the sword's range wasn't the equivalent of stabbing someone with a sewing needle, and the enemies didnt have massive hurtboxes. due to the movement of the game it is so immensely difficult to hit them with the tiny ass sword hitbox and not run into them and take even more damage. a lot of my runs end up in this cycle of running and trying to hit a few enemies while they accumulate into an amount i literally can not deal with without any form of range and no exits will spawn, and ill hit some rough patch…

been playing games for decades and finally learned to bhop.

100% achievements. you bhop and strafe around enemies in ever increasing quantities. the soundtrack is nice, the visuals are iconic. I don't recommend 100%ing this game, it sucks the entire time.

DREAMWILD is a really strange arcade FPS. The movement is fast and feels great, especially once you start chaining speed and sliding around everything. The levels are colourful, surreal, and constantly throwing something new at you. There's a lot of weird stuff here, but it all fits together surprisingly well. Weapons, enemies, fishing rods, dream castles. I don't really know what else to say. It's short, strange, and genuinely fun to play. Definitely worth getting lost in for a few hours.

Neat lil game worth a neat lil playthrough! Good movement tech, fun enemy variety, rewards you for getting good at the b-hopping and provides some really stellar visuals, especially at the boss fight. Cool lil game <3
