Brilliant. Short, Sweet, Impossible to put down until credits roll

A short (~1 hour) homage to the Game Boy line of Zelda games, with a few secrets here and there and a bit of plot to add a little spice. A few areas of ability interplay felt a bit stiff. For example, you can't attack while jumping, but few rooms would benefit from this anyway. Bombs felt a bit "loose" and perhaps underutilized. Once you find the upgraded sword, the combat-applicable secondary items are firmly relegated to the few puzzles that require them. All that being said, the game doesn't overstay its welcome so these feel really nitpicky. Is it short? Sure, but its polished well enough that I feel its more than worth the asking price. I wouldn't mind seeing something like this with a bit more meat on the bones from this developer.

This game is a masterpiece

This was a very fun bite-sized experience. It's a reasonable buy for the price and can be completed in about an hour. Final boss had a difficulty spike that felt a little bit jarring compared to the lead-up, and the game is still missing achievements. Any minor issue I had with it though was overshadowed by the nostalgia hit from the sound font and animations that bring me back to the classic Gameboy days. Overall well worth the money if nothing else but to show support for this type of project.
