Blacksmith Simulator (Potato Games)

Game is pretty fun and has a lot of potential. Most of the bugs and stuff I see people complaining about in these reviews have already been fixed, fast compared to other games I've played on release. Editing: I am changing my review since the devs seemed to drop the game after a few months with bugs still in place and features not implemented.

20 something years ago, when LoTR movie was released (the first one, Fellowship) all of my classmates were pretending to be elves. I, from other hand, was dreaming of growing a long beard and finding a big axe... That's one way to say that i love mining and smiting. Since the days of "Ultima Online" i was spending time mining Valurite and collecting BODs... Anyway... Blacksmith Simulator is, well, business sim of medieval blacksmith. What did you expected? Well...what i didn't expected was my character to stuck during the tutorial. Twice. Another thing that i did not expected was the "Unstuck" button in the menu to be not working... Anyway, three is the charm, so i managed to finish the tutorial from my third attempt and actually started the game. It's a... Ok, so take an ingot of Ugly-but-at-least-optimized graphics, put it in the forge of Repetitive Quicktime Events and when it's melted smash it on the anvil of Barebones Gameplay. With other words, the blacksmith simulators are REALLY niche games and yet, i can name two games that are better than this one. Which is kinda sad. Anyway, it's not terrible and the achievements list looks easy, so probably i will keep playing it at …

This has potential, but it needs some polish. -So far, can't see what handles you have in your inventory. -There's also some bugs that seem to need some polishing -Could use some explanation of some things like the customer is not the only one you can sell things to. The knight by the mine will buy ores, ingots, swords...maybe more. He mentions the finest meats but he won't buy the raw meat and I can't figure out how to cook it.

Unfortunately, this appears to be a shameless asset flip money grab. The game is full of bugs and has basically no variety to the gameplay loop. And unfortunately the developer seems to have gone radio silent both on steam and on their own discord.

Nice graphics, good mechanics and fun.

game needs work in my opinion its is like a worse fantasy black smith with a more open world. but with more work I believe it will be a good game that will be worth playing.
