Genopanic

It's a simple straight forward linear platformer with some light combat but honestly I had a fantastic time with it. It has a great isolated atmosphere, really pleasing pixel graphics, and the controls are super responsive.

Really torn on this. 5/10, mediocre game I did not play very far, only until after the second boss. Then I asked myself if this was it. This is not a metrodvania, it is a linear, simple platformer. You collect abilities and go to new areas, solve movement puzzles and fight easy bosses. The game looks good, but it fails to convey any kind of atmosphere or reason to care about the events that happen. There are really mixed signals from the marketing compared to what actually happens in the game. The gravity gun got me stuck in the ground and then I could not go up slopes anymore. Enemies and combat are pretty simple and feel uninspired. Movement and controls are fine. The core of the game is alright, I just got bored playing this.

this game was fun and enjoyable, even if a little glitchy, until the last platforming sequence. at which point, i experienced some of the worst timed platforming game design i have ever seen. even once you get through the platforming section its unclear what you're actually supposed to DO, and then!! the timer is still going while ur confused so you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ die. again. also the flamethrower may not melt the ice fast enough bc the rate is random, so ♥♥♥♥ you i guess. gave up on finishing this bc i spent AN HOUR trying to get through ONE PART, which is AFTER the final boss, and i just. its not worth it.

Splendid game.

this was a nice little game.. its really nothing special, and its quite linear, but the art is pretty and it doesn't overstay its welcome. I think this is prolly a small team's first real game and they put a lot of polish into it but they need more practice at actual game design. still, I enjoyed it, and if you like platformers and get it on sale you will get your money's worth here. my only real gripe is with the handling of the achievements, since collecting all 6 of the macguffins will lock you out of the "collect some of the macguffins" achivement and requires a replay to actually get it. NOTE: I played this game when it released and played it again before this review. the game itself is about 4 hours long.
