It was pretty okay. I actually enjoyed my time with it. The gameplay is simple but fun: you renovate houses, paint, clean, fix things, move furniture around... while trying to finish everything before the timer runs out. I really liked that almost every level seemed to introduce some kind of new gameplay element. It kept things fresh and meant I wasn't just doing the exact same thing over and over again. I played the whole thing solo, though, and I definitely feel like I would have had more fun playing with other people. I can imagine the chaos of everyone running around, getting in each other's way, accidentally messing things up, and desperately trying to finish the level on time being a lot of fun. Sadly, the multiplayer doesn't have matchmaking with random people. You have to invite your own friends, which is a bit of a shame. I think being able to just jump into a game with randoms would have made this a much better experience for me. So yeah, decent game, I enjoyed it, but playing solo definitely made it feel a little meh. If you have friends to play with, I'd say it's probably worth giving it a shot. Great couch coop. Good mixture of strategy, communication, and speed. Controls are simple so it is perfect for that couple where one or both partners do not have a lot gaming experience. Both children and adults could play and have fun. Passing each stage is a challenge and may take a couple of attempts, but passing with the highest grade adds a lot to the difficulty, so you can play by the level of challenge that suits you.

Tools Up! was good at first, but it gets too difficult: the missions keep getting bigger while the allotted time is far too short—disappointed 👎❌️
