After almost 5 hrs. of open-heart playing, I have to stop playing at ACT 5 and rate it "Not recommended". This game need to be polished more than this. I'll comeback and change the review once it's improved. I still have hope that if the developer have the time, they can do better. What it does good. - Artwork. Quite beautiful. - Boss fight is OK. Hard but beatable in 2 - 3 tries. What's bad. - No map and mini-map. Just the direction for you to go. - Sometimes I have to walk for the entire map just to talk to the NPC. It's a waste of time. - Cannot modify controller button. For PS controller, Dash/evade is default on "X" button ?? Most of the game using "O". No ability to modify the controller make it very awkward for general finger reflection for Soul-like player. - Not many tutorials (maybe my mis-reading). Some mechanics has to be guessing through game play. ----> Perfect block. As far as I read, it doesn't say anything so have to try it to know it existed. ----> Spell equip. What's is Enchanted ?? I'm only 40 minutes into the game, and I almost feel bad for writing a review at this point, but I'm not going to continue. The dreadful story with poor grammar, spelling, and errors abound will constantly take you out of the "action". You'll groan as somebody introduces their tech genius waifu character as "the Babu Frick of the team". I'm sure there are more "real world references" like this, but frankly the first one was plenty, thanks. It's as heavy handed as it is constant and bad. The combat is a dreadful button mash of the same one, two, three combo against the same "rush towards you with little purpose" AI. The controls are the reverse of every game you've ever played, ever. (B to interact, A to cancel, block is reversed, etc.). The movement is slow, and the combat is slower. You feel like your feet are stuck in molasses, with a paltry dash on a reload timer trying to make up for it. The first boss was laughable as you essentially walk to get out of the way of his big attack. Are those attacks telegraphed? YES! With a giant red illuminated path. It's literally impossible to miss. This game is so poorly made... I play on an xbox controller: A button is for cancel (Why ?) B button is for validation (Again, why ?) The shooting is not on the trigger but on the button just on top ! The deadzone of the joystick is so small, I experience drifting and rubberbanding... The worst part ? You can't change any of this... The options are the bare minimum... As a game dev, if you would come to me with this and say "Look, I finished my game !", I would say "Yup, you have an end of an Alpha, maybe a start of a Beta"

the story lost me but the gameplay was a lot of fun once you start unlocking spells and equipment. decent amount of build variety to experiment with.

Overall, it's just boring. Definitely a wasted kickstart on my part.

This was so not worth the backing on Kickstarter. Feels absolutely clunky/ Feel like i was deceived.
