Morels: The Hunt 2

Overall a decent improvement over the original Morels game in terms of map design atmosphere and even balance. With out of this world (Morels 3) coming soonish that is shaping up to be a great 3rd entry in the trilogy/series easy recommend.

So relaxing and realistic, I wish there was more point to collecting stuff as I love collecting stuff but this is currently my favourite chill game.

I love this game. You can really feel how much love and care went into making it. It's not the most polished game on the market, but since it's made by a single dev on a tiny budget I really don't hold that against it. It does a really good job of making sure you want to keep going out and gathering mushrooms by giving you a ton of goals to reach and ways to improve, and makes sure those goals and improvements have a satisfying payoff. It's a ok game, it seems exactly like the first game, but it's a lesser version to the first game. Honestly, the first 4 leveling are pretty much the same as the first game, just more empty structures (Woods, Meadow, Mountain and Farm). The first two maps were ok on animals and mushrooms, but the 3rd and 4th map lacked animals, specially the farm. For as big as that map was, I was expecting to see a field full of cows, nope just two. And on top of all that, the ocean level broke for me. I bought all the water equipment, no pulling of the waves, etc. But my camera won't take any pictures underwater. I looked it up and no one else seems to have this problem. I checked the store to make sure I had everything and I do. I even tried different filters and nothing. I literally can't do anything on this level. Seriously this game not worth it, play the first, try the third, skip this one.

From the start I was thinking this game sucks compared to the first one but I gave it a chance. But today I know it really blows chunks. First I start my day, get on my horse, when I get off I can't move, I can't take pictures so I have to shut the game down - lovely!. I get back in, I see some kind of raptor, this game will not let me take a picture of it. I spend 10-15 min attempting to do it. DEVs you really suck! I am trying to chill and all this game is accomplishing is raising my blood pressure. In reality I can just take the picture (and from my horse) but you leave a fraction of a second to take these pictures. WTF?!?!? You can't move through the first map (trying to make people not play the game devs??) because you can't move between 2 trees that are definitely far enough apart and this happens all the time. We won't talk about all the things that catch you up while you are trying to move around, and I thought I was going to have to blow myself out the game a few times because I couldn't move, once my horse got caught in a wall (truly fun)!
