This game is pretty great. The pacing is a little slower than the obvious inspiration, and the number of ships/tools/whatever objects to combine is waaaaay lower than my one true love, Backpack Battles, but, it's in space. And I sure do love space. Instead of "buying bags," you hire crew, and they unlock tiles on your nightmare of a mismanaged warship, or they can pilot the ships that you purchase between rounds to get bonuses and all of that. The ships and pilots have factions (or not), and those come into play as well. So, maybe there's more combining than I give it credit for, the satisfaction of "These two things I bought just became a brand-new one-thing!" feeling doesn't come with that approach as effectively, though. Can't wait to play more of it.

There are a lot of games in this genre but this is one of the good ones. Fewer buffs/debuffs has given them a tighter, more polished landscape to balance and the devs provide consistent updates. The auto-seeding tournaments for winning runs is a great addition. If you like the genre, pick this one up.

The game seems to lack a lot of polish. It's trying to be similar to BPB, but it just makes me want to play BPB instead. The combat stats, for example, are very feature poor compared to BPB. Rotating items feels laggy. It's difficult to tell what slot connectors work with what other items. Most of all, I have poor eyesight, and the UI is just so tiny. I found myself having to lean up into my monitor, which is headache inducing.

Shop never gives me what I want/need. Match making never feels balanced. Too much RNG for me to enjoy.

Awful matchmaking. I just started playing one day ago and every run I am getting matched against players that are top 5 on the leaderboard. I have 70% battle win rate, but only 30% 10 game run completion because inevitably I get paired against players who are level 100 while I am only level 10. Then there are the ridiculous high rolls because shop RNG with sales are over the place, i.e. you think you got a decent start only to queue into a round 2 ship that has already assembled a peas-maker and 2 woks or other such nonsense because "just get lucky, GG".
