About Milky Way Prince – The Vampire Star
Live a summer of dysfunctional love through branching storylines, twists, sudden changes, and a special mechanic where you choose which senses to use with your boyfriend. In these moments, you will learn about him, his personality, and his past, making you question everything.
Milky Way Prince is entirely designed, programmed, illustrated, and scored by a very young author, Lorenzo Redaelli. The story itself is partially autobiographical.
"During my experience with a borderline partner, I thought that falling in love with him was like becoming part of a binary star system. It’s the rarest, most precious thing in the universe – but the closer they get the more unstable they become. My idea was to create an immersive experience where the player is asked to try to understand the dynamics of this unusual relationship. The character you interact with adapts their behavior to yours – using academic terminology, they could set up “rage tests”, “love bombing", or otherwise guilt trip you. The plot's branching storyline is guided by variables such as “submission” and "interest” that fluctuate at each interaction."

Going for the platinum, gotta see every ending on this one... Being borderline myself, I recognized so much of myself in Sune it was almost uncomfortable at times. The way he loves too hard and too fast, then spirals when he feels like he's losing someone, that's genuinely well written. Rare to see a character like this handled with that much nuance. The five senses mechanic is a really clever way to show how intimacy works between them. And seeing Nuki spiral right alongside him, how one misread text can blow everything up, that hit hard too. Not an easy game to sit through, heavy themes, some genuinely disturbing moments. Short runtime (2-4h) but it stays with you way longer than that. 9/10, THE most honest portrayal I've seen in a game. 100% recommend <33
I bought this game because I played Mediterranea Inferno and that game was PEAK! But... it was literally peak, since this previous attempt at a similar mood is really lacking. I want to support the author but to anyone wondering if they should buy/play this game, my advice would be: play Mediterranea Inferno first!
