About Red Embrace
"There are lots of predators out there... stalkers who'd just love to have a taste of someone like you..."

The graveyard shift at a dingy diner in San Francisco -- that's where MC's story begins. It's just another normal night, or at least it seems to be.
...That is, until a certain mysterious customer stops by, bringing the dangerous attention of a few people with him. When it rains, it pours, and suddenly MC finds himself in the middle of a war he didn't even know existed... between vampires.
How does MC react to the dark, violent world that opens up before him? That's up to you!

► Genre: Drama, BxB romance, dark modern
► Length: ~60,000 words
► Endings: 8 (4 good, 4 bad)
► Changeable MC personality & interests
► Different dialogue & choices based on personality
► 11 track OST with a dark, urban vibe
► 14 CGs

Argent Games is a 2-person team comprised of Dovah (writer/programmer/designer) and Gamma (producer/manager). After bonding together over a shared love of things such as games, anime, and Yaoi, we formed Argent Games in 2016.
We have two other BL games available on Steam -- Requiescence and Chess of Blades!
Red Embrace is the third Boy's Love (or yaoi) mystery/romance visual novel game developed by Argent Games, and many more are planned in the future!
Short Review
Gameplay: 8/10 Visuals: 5/10 Audio/Sound Design: 3/10 Voice Acting: N/A Story: 6/10 Overall: 5.5/10
Gameplay
8/10 Your standard visual novel, I use 5/10 as the standard rate for this software. The extra points come from the choices themselves. This game has a very unique personality system which unlocks different choices and endings, which I found both charming and annoying. It frustrated me considering you need to go through EVERY dialogue option combination (including subsets such as your passion between music, art, and writing which added nothing but slight flavor text), but charmed me as the unique dialogue and choices really did feel immersive. I like this feature quite a bit, as it adds actually interesting flavor-text rather than boring little blurbs. Gives you a different vibe for each playthrough.
Visuals
5/10 Honestly? The art is just average. And the jumping between art styles for CGs, due to the different artists, felt a bit awkward. I wish they tried to keep a relatively similar style or vibe. This game's style is pretty basic, and if someone made an oc for this game I wouldn't be able to tell from style…
Definetly money well spent. The characters are quite handsome and interesting. Dominic being my personal favourite. The story pulled me in, even during secondary playthroughs. Although I do wish that the endings were done in a slightly more obvious/logical way.
Without spoiling anything concrete, being nice to someone and having a really cute story going only to be given a bad ending because of 2 early game choices that don't impact the game/story at all feels quite awful if I'm honest. I guess the endings work with some point systems and if you don't have enough points you get a bad one? Regardless I think the bad endings here could be absent and it would still be a really cool little interractive short story. Or as I stated above, make it more obvious, such as being mean and so on.
A very short but nice Bl visual novel. For something adapted from an app, it's done pretty well. And for as old as this game is, I think it holds up. I love my main man Dominic. Just know that the game is a quick one, and that you only get a brief look into the future with each man.
Good and nice story!
