Synergy is a city-building game where you research the natural world around you, design districts with unique bonuses, and guide citizen expeditions to explore mysterious lands and gather resources for your growing settlement. Balance technological and cultural advancement, construct specialized buildings, and maintain harmony with your environment to ensure your citizens' survival and prosperity.
Conduct analysis of the plants and other natural elements of the region and flesh out your Knowledge Book.
This newly-acquired knowledge will provide you with an essential guide to obtaining resources, ensuring the safety of your citizens and optimizing your city, thus promoting survival and prosperity through a sustainable approach in harmony with the surrounding natural environment.
Assign citizens to the research center and the hall of wisdom to launch research projects. Technological research allows you to uncover new advanced techniques, while cultural research will innovate on processes and civil structures.
This quest for knowledge also gives you access to several new buildings. From extraction structures to social spaces, from harvesting points to cultural buildings, every new construction and discovery helps you shape your city's evolution.
Build nine districts with unique features around the various squares by cleverly placing your buildings. Take advantage of the powerful bonuses specific to each district to foster the development of your city. Meet the needs of your citizens and thrive by providing them with the most satisfying accommodations possible.

Exploration is an important vector of progression in the game. Explore increasingly remote regions to reveal new destinations, meet other survivors and convince them to join your city, find tablets bearing priceless knowledge, and bring back new plant species to introduce into your environment.

This is a fantastic game with a great message about environmental stewardship, and it's clear that a lot of love has been poured in even if there are bugs. The best comparison I could make to another game would be Against The Storm; both city builders where you assign population to production or logistics, stack bonuses via the relation of buildings to your central hub, trade with other wanderers, etc. The key difference is that in this game there aren't other citizen species and there's a lot more emphasis on learning about how the local flora work so that you can avoid killing them all off and starving yourself out as a consequence. Unfortunately, a larger publishing company called Focus Entertainment (now PulluP) acquired Leikir Studio and shuttered it because it wasn't PulluP's most profitable venture. Yeah, some ♥♥♥♥ eating capitalists decided that they weren't seeing enough number go up every quarter, so now there won't be any more updates for the game about sustainable practices and living in a world recovering from the ravages of some bygone rampant industrial expansion. I really love this game. It's a city builder, it comes with pretty graphics. Unfortunately, it's quite buggy. Menus disappear often, and I have to close and reopen the game to get them back. The bigger the colony becomes, the more often buildings randomly stop working. Closing the game and reopening it usually fixes it. If not, destroying the building and rebuilding does. "Closing and reopening" almost feels part of the experience, which is fairly disappointing and the reason why I cannot recommend this game. Sadly, Leikir Studio seems to have been shut down in January 2026, so it is very unlikely that these bugs will ever get fixed. :(5 found this helpful
