Redout 2

I bought this game a few hours ago and I love it!

Doesn't feel fun to control versus the first game, the emphasis on pushing boost until you're about to explode constantly is stressful rather than fun, getting four stars on some levels is nigh-impossible, and the landing system (where you have to move your finger off the left stick in order to rotate your ship) is just a pain, given you mostly get it right, but sometimes just completely miss and crash and have to restart. The hyper boost is slow and awkward versus the turbo boost in this game's predecessor, being slow, on a delay, and requiring a period of acceleration, versus being an instant burst of speed. Essentially, your ship controls nothing like the first game; where the original had more slippery, momentum-based physics based kind of around bouncing yourself off walls at the optimum angle to maintain speed, and strafing that felt kind of like Source movement in a way, this game makes everything feel a lot more rigid, and not in a good way. It feels like you're both capable of turning more sharply, but also not in control at the same time, if that makes sense. 5/10. Get Redout 1 instead. This Game is many things and stirs many feelings with in me not just as a fan of the original Redout, but also a lover of racing games and AG Racers as a whole. As a sequel it does a terrible job at being a continuation of the gameplay and design philosophies. This game does not play anything like how Redout 1 does and does not even attempt to invoke the same sorta enjoyment that Redout 1 does. It's it's own completely separate take on the AG Racer, that just so happens to have the same Teams as Redout 1, some same locations as Redout 1, and continues the Redout lore(lore is not the focus of this game by any means). And as a game... it invokes complicated feelings... This game IS NOT friendly to the player, is incredably over complicated even for an AG Racer, One of the least beginner/new player friendly games I've ever played, has a pretty brutal difficulty spike about half way through, has probably one of if not the most bloated campaign modes I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing(IT'S 50 HOURS LONG! AND THIS GAME HAS NO STORY IT'S JUST 50 HOURS OF DOING RACES AND TIMETRIALS AND STUFF!). And yet I couldn't stop coming back to it... This isn't a game I found myself booting…
