Nioh: Complete Edition

Geralt got himself into some serious ♥♥♥♥♥ again.

After trying Nioh twice now and accumulating over 60 hours in the game, I have come to realize that Nioh... Just isn't a good game. -The level design is decent, with various different locations, styles and atmospheres. However, you will be visiting the same areas over and over and over again in side quests. -Yokai boss designs are great, the movesets are telegraphed well, and most of them don't have ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mechanics (most of them). However, they too can just become minibosses that are spammed multiple times throughout sidequests. That's about all the "good" I have to say about it. For the bad, I don't know where to begin... -Enemy design: Much like the miniboss situation, you end up fighting the same normal enemy types over and over again in every single mission. Most of their movesets are fairly basic and they don't really pose much of a challenge, causing the gameplay to become stale after a while as you fight the same copy-pasted guy with a sword or yokai with an axe over and over again. -Build design: In the early levels (basically the entirety of pre NG+), making a build is practically non-existant. Since soul-matching is so expensive it will cost you more to level up a…

6.5/10

The game crashed after I killed the final boss, well past it actually, on the credit screen. The game did not save and I have to beat this absolute trash of a final boss again. It is so well designed, they expect you to see projectiles coming from behind you, every other move the boss does one shots, other than that its pretty easy, just insanely annoying. The same save issue is happening in Nioh 3 too btw, it happened 3 times to me, on much harder bosses too. Utter incompetence, why would you save instantly when a boss gets killed right... They make the same game over and over again and it still doesnt even work properly. I am so glad I pirated Wu Long and Nioh 3 too. Will do the same with the future games as well. ♥♥♥♥ you clowns! Ok, I will buy them at 90% off. I can't stand losing progress to ♥♥♥♥ like this so this alone is worth a negative review but there is more... I kinda summarised the other bosses and enemies of this game as well with the final boss. This game is mid. Difficulty comes from idiotic monster health levels, one shots everywehere, ganks all over the place meanwhile the it gives you zero tools to deal with multiple enemies properly. I am sure its great on NG…
