The Door Factory

This game was overall decent. I do have criticism though. The setting of where the gameplay happens, (what is behind the doors) never changes, which by the time you have done the 30 anomalies, it's very visually monotonous, and the game could have benefit from a new room every time you complete a set of anomalies. Also, I think i understood the ending, and I hate when I have to read a lot in a game, but the game could have benefit from a couple notes around the room as you progress to explain some type of story, even if there never was one, just make it up. Final critique, the main room where you determine if the door has an anomaly; The fact that there was never ANYTHING scary that happened outside of the door, severely changed the vibe of the game. For example, if you just pressed the anomaly button and got it right, some footsteps, random laughing, or just a glimpse of someone peeking a corner would have gone a long way. Nothing needs to actually happen, just something to make that room not feel entirely safe. (also add more jumpscares)

This game was an enjoyable, and simple anomaly game. The horror drove me to be apprehensive on opening next door, out of both concern and wonder.

This is potentially the worst anomaly spotting game EVER, but mainly because it totally abandons the core mechanic of spotting anomalies. Understanding anomaly spotting games, you know that the goal is to scrutinize the area and pay close attention to any small detail changes or if anything is off and act based on that. In this game though... You. Can't. SEE. ANYTHING. There is basically no point to looking at your surroundings or memorizing anything, the anomaly is more or less just given to you on a platter or not at all, and is almost always just some vague silhouette. Literally the entire playthrough just feels like you are fumbling around in the dark, and the devs just prank on you by putting a flashlight in the game that you can't even pick up. As far as the anomalies themselves go, they are mostly boring but INSANELEY LAZY. There are multiple anomalies in the game that are just copy and pasted versions of one another with slight changes. Oh there was a creepy doll in the closet? Well for this anomaly it's a puppet! (Otherwise it is LITERALLY the exact same in every way, even standing in the same spot). Even the "cool" anomalies that change up the room or take you to anot…

Only reason I am putting a thumbs down is because of a couple bugs I experienced, on the 11th anomaly I think a red bouncy ball is supposed to roll to me and I hear it but it never actually does which unfortunately made it so I couldn't progress in the game I did try and restart from the beginning again and suddenly I couldn't get the door for the second backroom anomaly to work so I could leave. Hopefully this gets patched up would love to finish the game.

Such a boring rip off of monsters INC lol Cabin Factory was better.
