POSITIVES : neat new idea, nice graphics, okayish music between classic Hercules franchise & actual greek. NEGATIVES : extremely complex & complicated levels, narrow options to solve a level, which forces player to find "The One way" to win it, again 20 dev record needed as last achievements OVERALL : not motivating to even play it, i play games NOT to have a job bad game design, bad level design, bad balancing RESUMEE : play something else cause that's not enough to be good9 found this helpful
I have played ALL of this series, multiple times each. It calms my anxieties somehow. But this one is honestly terrible. I keep saying "that was a terribly designed level." And then the next one is, too. This is by far the worst in the series, and if this had been the first one I'd ever played I doubt I would even try the others. Buy any other one in the series, but this one is a dog.4 found this helpful
As of Sept 2, 2021, the game kept crashing after I was about 65% of the way through. I tried every known "trick" (uninstall, reinstall, restart the computer, make sure my OS is up to date) but after multiple attempts and constant crashing, I give up. Steam says it can't assist in technical help because it's not 'their game', and they won't refund the purchase because it's been played for more than 2 hours. It seems quite unfair that I only get to enjoy a portion of the game, but am still on the hook for full price, which wasn't cheap. Therefore, I do NOT recommend this game. The play was enjoyable while it worked, but I guess I'll never know how it ends.4 found this helpful
The Game is my first in the series and I got to say if you do not follow a certain path of clearing objective then you do not get gold time. Forget about beating the developer score as it is tough as hell. Some of the game mechanic do not even make sense and is very poorly designed levels. After playing this game I do not want to even check the other games in the series.3 found this helpful
Developed by Zoom Out Games and published by Jetdogs Studios, 12 Labours of Hercules XI: Painted Adventure delivers another enjoyable chapter in the long-running time management franchise while introducing a refreshing artistic twist to its familiar mythological setting. Instead of relying solely on Hercules' legendary feats, the story follows Emma, a talented artist whose magical paintbrush allows her creations to become reality. After being transported into the world of Ancient Greece, she joins Hercules on an adventure where imagination becomes just as important as strength. This creative premise gives the game its own identity while remaining faithful to the series' lighthearted style. The narrative combines Greek mythology with fantasy in a way that feels playful and accessible. Emma's magical abilities transform ordinary tasks into imaginative puzzles, allowing her to paint bridges, tools, machines, and other objects needed to overcome obstacles. Rather than simply watching Hercules solve every problem through brute force, players actively use Emma's artistic talents to shape the environment and open new paths. The humorous interactions between familiar mythological characte…
I really enjoyed the first 9 in this series... #10, not so much. This one, #11, is the hardest yet, even in casual mode: paths to success are very limited so be prepared to replay many levels if you want to achieve gold. The biggest disappointment for me revolves around the "Paper Castle" you get to build when achieving gold: many upgrades are basically bunches of leaves around the structure; how boring is that? I agree with another reviewer that the "1/2" button should be eliminated; it kinda kills the pace. Hopefully #12 is better. For achievement completists: play something else.
