WARNING: THIS GAME DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE AND HASN'T IN YEARS. Despite being a single player shmup the game needs to connect to a server to play, which has been down since 2020 if not earlier! Yet the game has been for sale all this time for $8.99. Shameful. This is literally a scam.10 found this helpful
(This game was gifted by Zaraki Snakenoman long ago. Thanks!)
Well, I guess this has struck out!
To be honest, I don't remember much about this game. I remember it was a SHMUP like Touhou or perhaps QP Shooting - Dangerous!!, but I don't remember playing it for long. I do remember it had some Gacha feature, but that's about all I remember about 1943 Megami Strike. As of 2020 (I believe...that's when I discovered it at least), it appears to have shut down its server and has no offline mode of play. So, all you get now is an image that loads when you boot up...no error...no loading limbo screen...just an image. And one that essentially costs $9 if you bought this game. That said, you're paying $9 for an image you can see on my profile gallery for free and aren't even able to get the lone achievement in this dead game. Reporting this game for fraud now...though when it was operational, it was somewhat decent. 0.01/10 YOU'RE OUT!!! (a modest fraction of a point for the lone image, but really...it's a dead product you can't even access).7 found this helpful
A game VALVE should remove from Steam as you can NOT play it, it has not offline mode and the servers are down from years5 found this helpful
would be nice to play with same account on mobile version as well4 found this helpful
Oh, the howling winds of the digital landscape! Baring my fangs at this icy mockery of a mobile game, I am Kiba Snowpaw, an Ice Wolf who has been gaming since the era of pixelated glory in the 80s, and I have some sharp words to bite into today. "1943 Megami Strike," the name brings a chill to my paws. An intriguing concept, indeed - a mobile strategy game set against the backdrop of the Second World War. However, the execution? As tepid as a mid-winter slush pile. The game boasts an array of characters, our female pilots, the Megami, each one with a backstory as individual as the snowflakes in an arctic storm. But alas, these potentially engaging personalities melt away under the heat of their own banality. You'd think being a commander would involve, I don't know, commanding? But it seems this commander's duty is limited to collecting and evolving so-called "Pretty Girls Cards." Oh, the indignity! Now, let's delve into the mechanics and design of this icy chasm of disappointment. One would hope for the dynamism of a snowstorm, but instead, we're met with the monotony of a blizzard that never changes course. Yes, there's a commendable attention to detail in the depiction of WWI…2 found this helpful
You cant even play the game anymore. Like at all. Why is this still being sold here?2 found this helpful
