Very fun! Worth the purchase, can't beat that price. The hitting becomes very satisfying once you figure out the timing, especially in the later levels. and the pitching feels solid in being able to go through different sequences. The quips at the ends of the games are cute, and so are the headlines. The only knock I would give to it is it wasn't super clear how to add movement to the pitches, and I wish there was online multiplayer though it was fun enough single player. Overall would recommend to anyone wanting to play a baseball on steam who don't have a console. Go Jays! (2025 please please please)4 found this helpful
Already have my money's worth with just a couple of hours. Still haven't beaten the single player mode. It definitely has rough edges, not being able to speed up dialogue and cut scenes is annoying, also it doesn't have a tutorial so you kind of have to figure it out as you go. The game play is simple, yet deceptively tricky and fun. For only a few bucks I can wholeheartedly recommend this game. Here is something that will hopefully help you. You press both the direction of the pitch you want, and the A button at the same time to deliver a pitch. Once the pitch is in flight you can hit A and a direction to manipulate the pitch as long as you have stamina. I don't fully understand all the ways you get stamina back, but getting outs will give you 1 stamina back.1 found this helpful
A perfect baseball game. We need more baseball games.1 found this helpful
Very simple, but not in a bad way! Pitching is the best part of this game, giving you so much control over how and where you throw the ball. Super fun implementation on that front. Sure, the tutorial is useless, and the cuts between games slows everything down... but wasn't that how all games were in the 90s? Mash buttons for five minutes and you'll figure out everything you need to know.
You can not turn off the music. you can, but it does not stay off. You can not skip over events. This slows the game down in painful way.
Either i'm an absolute troglodyte or this game is borderline unplayable. - There is a tutorial but i no way did it help me understand the controls - Is there even a way to affect whether you throw a ball or into the zone? - Why tf am i not allowed to pause 90% of the time - Why are multiple buttons mapped to the same action? - Why is [B] on an Xbox controller the same as [A] in the menus I think this would have had potential if even the menu controls had some kind of common bindings. Idk i'm just confused.
