8-Bit Farm

I love this one so much, but it feels after a certain bit the same copy and paste mechanics that doesn't suffice a long lasting fun game that Kairosoft games have left me with previously. For some context, a normal game runs 25 years on average speed (NG+ unlocks faster speed) I just unlocked this at 14 hours currently. Well worth the price tag for the content I experienced. But here is the fun part to unlock all crops and fruits. You need a Farm Mart Rank 21. After 14 hours I was only Farm Mart Rank 10. To unlock the last achievement you need to "Unlock this customer by completing tier 25 of the Gourmet Fest festival" that is 25 games of unfun Bejeweled. That is if you know how much stats are required to past each stage without trial and error. Who thought this was a good idea for an achievement? An isolated hikikomori masochist!? Then we get to the other achievement which I assume would require more ranks in the Farm Mart to achieve number 1 in all groups. The only guide by 'Antoid owo' says "Earnings: 6000000 Visitors: 1000 Satisfaction: 50000 Staff: (I haven't played long enough to reach this yet lol)" At the end of 25 years with 14 hours I had around 300-400 visitors and…

Adorable as always, especially the animals and their babies. The only thing I didn't like is the fact that you have to beat 100+ contests to get all the expansions, and 100+ festivals to unlock all the items in the store. You then have to pay for all the items with photos that you don't always have. A bit frustrating, but the game is good in spite of that.

By far the best kairosoft game I've played. For those who are doubting to get the game because of negative reviews, understand that this game is the only slow paced - even slower than the pirate game that has energy system of kairosoft. Yes the game will take you 7 in game year time before you get money going, as long as you improve the visitors' money spending attributes properly, to those who complained about not making money to expand the farm have definitely been only playing easy management simulator games. Your earnings are miniscule if you don't improve the correct stats of your visitors, not unlock the items that shops can sell, and not craft proper equipments for your staffs. If you hate those pop ups and too much information/ tutorial from other kairosoft games, this is the game for you. It's more chill than the pocket harvest that demands too much quest just to give you unsatisfactory reward. There are no guides for visitor stats from my searching so far but if you want to get money faster improve impulse shopping and don't hesitate to buy banners from odds shop, for contest winnig improve photo skill to craft equipments for high zeal and work stats.

God what a slog this Kairosoft game was, I mean I think the others are as well but this one especially was just.. so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ slow to get going. This right here has to be the pinnacle of Kairosoft games that DESPERATELY need a fast forward button...

this game is like dota 2 for me. great graphics, i LOVE (1) of the characters, and the animals bring me so much joy regardless of their shapes and sizes. but as a big kairosoft lover, the game is something that i am a bit conflicted about since it can become very repetitive after a few hours of gameplay (think bonbon cakery when ya struggle with unlocking new things because you need to fill up thousands of points), and it is not truly casual when you consider that aspect. the festivals, specifically the ones where you play a fun version of candy crush, is immense creative and fun but can feel tiring with clunky control; and they are unavoidable if you want to have money to keep your farm afloat! anyway, beyond all of that, this is still truly one of the games that i click on whenever i get too overwhelmed by the world and need a 30-minute-cool-down the way people used to tune in sitcoms on cable networks in the 2000s. lovely game for the price but be prepared to start grinding against yourself.
