Highly enjoyable ride. Very well-paced and wrapped up almost all of the plot points neatly. The ROs weren't the most fleshed out characters out there, but they served a major enough role for me to get invested in them. Some of the side characters were a bit generic, though. The game had just enough meaningful choices that it didn't feel railroady to me. The stat checks were also forgiving; I was consistently able to pass them when they counted. The epilogue was lengthy and satisfactory, reflecting my past choices really well. The worldbuilding is rich enough that if you're interested in the setting at all, I'd say it's worth the cost even at full price. The magic system is not as intricate as Choice of Magics', though, so I'd recommend that one if you prefer a magic-actually-has-real-negative-consequences-impacting-the-story-in-a-major-way experience.

MIB but faeries instead of aliens. Only two ROs. For a game where you visit a fae orgy, it's surprisingly tame. No sex scenes unless I missed them somehow. The ROs are in love with me and we literally met yesterday. Made a pass at the Grim Reaper, fewer red flags there.

This is a short game featuring you as an agent of the Bureau of Magic. You are very human though you can wield magic through an object you carry as well as using spells. Tasked with finding a mysterious stolen object with your new partner, your search leads into some strange places, starting with Faerie, and you meet some strange, but very powerful beings. One run-through is short, however there is a lot of action and plenty of choices to make, apart from setting up who you are, so I suspect I will be playing this for a while yet as I explore the game. Its not really a romance, though you can end up with the RO of your choice, but don't expect much character building to help in your decisions. This is an adventure story not a romantic novel and the author does not go into long descriptions of anything that does not carry the story forward. I rarely felt railroaded in the choices I made, but they were very innocuous, so I suspect that if you decide to role-play a villain you will have a totally different game than I experienced. So if you want to keep life on an even keel, or blow up existence as we know it, you make your choice and live with the consequences. And your brother? He d…
