A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead

very fun game

I purchased this game to have an "A Quiet Place" experience and, luckily, that's exactly what I got. I haven't clenched my teeth so much while playing a videogame in a very long time. If you liked the movies of the franchise, this game is a must-have.

So far, I love this game. The graphics are stunning, I don't understand the bad reviews... Of course some mechanics are made to slow you, but that's an horror game. Imagine an horror game when there's only action all the time, it would be exhausting. This one is amazing, the sound effects are just perfect, everything is scary. I love it so much.

Look I'm gonna tell it how it is; the game is good, it is faithful to the movies, plenty of fun little mechanics to use and to avoid the death angels. However, here comes some of the issues I had with this game... The character you play is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moron, some of the other characters are morons because they end up doing dumb decisions, and when you reach the end of this game, it tries to SQUEEZE you with as much stuff as they possibly can by dragging on the ending to the point it doesn't feel... worth it? I am giving this game a postivie review but the overall rating for this game is a solid 6/10. Its not perfect nor is it terrible.

I absolutely love this game. After watching the movies, I was really excited to see there was a game for A Quiet Place, and overall I really enjoyed it. The whole concept obviously revolves around the Death Angels, which are nearly blind but have extremely advanced hearing. Because of that, the game is naturally slow-paced and you constantly have to watch where you're walking, what you're touching and how much noise you're making. I think some negative reviews forget that a bit. I've seen complaints about having to move slowly or constantly watch out for making noise, but that's basically the entire point of A Quiet Place. If you could just sprint around everywhere without caring about sound, it wouldn't really make much sense. That being said, the gameplay does become repetitive pretty quickly. There are some newer mechanics later on and changes in how the Death Angels search for you, but the main gameplay stays mostly the same. I'm also not really sure how much you can change that without moving away from the concept itself. Playing as someone with asthma adds even more pressure to it. You're already trying not to make noise, while also having to watch your breathing. It can …
