About A-Tech Cybernetic VR

A-Tech Cybernetic is a first-person shooter built from the ground up for VR. It features two separate game modes: a classic swarm mode to put your shooting and survival skills to the test and a story mode that takes you to a futuristic biomedical company overrun by mutants. Control everything with real-life movements, interact with your surroundings as if they were actually there, experience a new kind of gameplay that’s more immersive than ever before, thanks to VR. Be the badass guy you always wanted to be.

STORY MODE - DIVE INTO AN IMMERSIVE SCI-FI ADVENTURE

Waking up with no memories you find yourself in a biomedical company overrun by hordes of mutants. Who are you? What are you doing there? What are these mutants? Explore a futuristic company complex, handle and aim your weapons with real-life movements to survive and find all the answers yourself while going through an immersive sci-fi adventure.

SWARM MODE - STOP THE MUTANT HORDES AND SURVIVE

Can you stop all the mutant hordes that will come to get you? Will you be the last man standing? Put your shooting skills to the test and make sure you’re the only one that survives. But be aware: they may come from places you’d never expect them!

REAL LIFE MOVEMENTS - USE YOUR BODY TO FIGHT

Handle and aim your weapons with real-life movements, use various melee weapons, throw grenades at your enemies, dodge melee attacks or if all else fails, use your fists to buy some time or get some advantage in combat. Now is the time to test your combat skills.

USE YOUR SUPERHUMAN POWERS

While you can also use locomotion in A-Tech Cybernetic, teleporting is the fastest way to get from one place to another. But gaining VR superpowers doesn’t stop here! Move objects with your mind - pull them by force for your convenience. And if you feel cornered or really just want to have some extra fun, slow down the flow of time and take out those bloody mutants one-by-one. There’s no rush, really, it’s just a horde of flesh-eating mutant monsters that are out there to get you, so feel free to take your time...well...at least as long as your bullet time ability lasts. After that - how should I put it - RUN! or rather use teleport as we don’t want you to actually hurt yourself or run into your room furniture - VR is just so freakin’ awesome!

EXPLORE A VISUALLY STUNNING ENVIRONMENT

We find it extremely important to provide the player a close to realistic environment to maximize the VR experience. In A-Tech Cybernetic you will really feel that you entered an alternate reality where everything seems and feels so real. It takes immersion to another level.

Have fun and don’t ever forget: all mutants must die!

Played this on a Meta Quest 3. I quite enjoyed this game. It's got a sort of Doom 3 vibe to it, but instead of demons you're fighting hordes of cyber-augmented zombies (okay, basically demons). I'd also compare it to Dead Effect. There's a decent assortment of conventional firearms. Pistols, SMGs, shotguns, assault rifles, and even a few swords. It's got some good level design, and the combat is pretty satisfying. The graphics are also pretty good, and the VR performance was fine. If you're playing this on the Quest, you might have to launch SteamVR through Air Link or Virtual Desktop, instead of directly through SteamLink, or the controllers may not work.

Great visuals, super fun combat, and it can run on a very low end PC since it is a bit of an older VR title. Great game, I will be doing a 2nd playthrough soon.

Comically bad. it worked on my vr headset sure, but the writing, controls, graphics, all not even passable. maybe this was around par when it came out, i don't remember, but now its not even close to acceptable

I play on rift s. I loved how it looked in the store and i only payed like 2$ for it, that's the only reason i didn't ask a refund for this piece of boring yank of a game. The melee weapons feel completely weightless. Just one little tap (like you tap someone with a plastic straw on the head) on the zombies head and he insta dies. It feels bloody awfull, and if you use a gun you blow their head off and the body is still coming for you. So i spend the first checkpoint just tapping zombies lightly on the head. It really makes you feel like a beta male so i uninstalled it. I saw reviews here claiming it's better then Doom vfr xD LOL (wich i also own). Either you did not get to run doom properly, or you just smoke D"ck. There are no other options. This game is a hard pass, even for 2$ imo. Save your money and your ball sack..

This is one of the better VR shooters out there. Unlike many others, this one allows you to choose between teleportation and the far superior (for FPS) manual strafing and turning. There is certainly a bit of jank to it as others have said - such as ammo or health dropping through the floor - but overall it is quite well polished, far more so than a lot of other VR games (Arizona Sunshine's game-breaking jank comes to mind there). The gunplay is good, the game has decent weapon variety, and it has both voice acting and a solid horror vibe. It's Indie, so you shouldn't be expecting AAA quality, but this is still a solidly put together game. Overall, I definitely recommend this. This feels like a game that would go for upwards of $20 (like the far inferior Arizona Sunshine), so at only $15 it already is a good value, even before any additional sales.
