This isn't really much of a game.

AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! for the Awesome is a genuinely fun arcade base-jumping game where you freefall through floating cityscapes, hugging buildings for points and nailing landings — simple mechanics that are surprisingly addictive. The witty one-liners and quirky humor (yes, you collect teeth) keep things light, and the blood-pumping soundtrack adds real energy to each dive. That said, the gameplay loop is fairly shallow, and I found myself burning through the novelty faster than I expected — it's more of a pick-up-and-play game than something you'll sink hours into. If you can grab it on sale for a couple bucks, it's absolutely worth it for an evening of quick, chaotic fun.

Sucks the dev never updated it to support any headsets outside the Rift DK2. Even in that horrible headset, it was worth playing. Outside of VR? Not so much.

I'd recommend this game, with the caveat that it's probably worth closer to $5, especially this far from its release. The game is very simple and pleasant to spend a bit of time in, but there really isn't much more to the game than you see on the tin. You jump, you try to stay as close to objects as possible without hitting them, and then you try to stick the landing. There are a few powerups you can unlock, such as the ability to flip off people protesting your antics, but there are really no fundamental changes to that, at least that I've seen while perusing the unlockables. The game also suffers a bit from its age, especially in the realm of input compatibility. While controllers do technically work (and dual analog input is really handy for a precision movement game like this), none of the instructions, tutorials, or tooltips provide information for anything except mouse & keyboard, forcing one to figure out even simple things like how to deploy their parachute blades for themselves. (At least for my controller, B deployed the parachute blades, and the left and right triggers were a thumbs up or obscene gesture, respectively.) Overall, this is fun for short play sessions - o…
