About Love, Hate And The Other Ones 2

A very well thought-out Sokoban-style puzzler where we alternately control two blobs named Love and Hate. Love can attract Others, various blobs and objects with different properties, while Hate pushes them away. The goal of each level is to figure out how one of our two blobs can reach and push down the exit lever while trying to collect every coin in the level. Coins can be used to unlock extra 2D puzzles featuring all kinds of amusing goofy designs. I havent played the previous game in the series, which was entirely in 2D. This second opus looked more intriguing, as it introduces 3D puzzles that add an extra layer of difficulty. Love and Hate can affect Others in four directions, front, back, left, or right, but not diagonally. They can also only attract or repel Others if there is no obstacle in between. While some levels required more brainstorming than others, I found the difficulty well balanced. Some levels also likely had multiple solutions. All in all, this was a fun play. I definitely recommend it if you enjoy puzzlers.

If you liked the first game, then you like this one. It's more of the same type of puzzle, but in 3D, and slightly more difficult than the first game. If you didn't play the first (why not?!), but like puzzles you'll like this. Well worth it even at full price. Played via Proton.

More Love, more Hate and now in 3D. The puzzle concept is almost the same as in the first game but now it's in 3D. So puzzles can go around a corner which makes it even harder. This game is a classic example of a lazy indie game sequel. I remember playing the first game and it had some good puzzles near the end. I love the characters (one of them is my profile avatar) but the humor and presentation are a one trick pony in this case. This game is in 3D but it really doesn't matter because the 3D space is used only when you are getting around the corners. So, the 3D space is only getting in the way of the game play because you have to adjust the camera often on the bigger levels. The controls are bad. The zoom is very slow if you are using a mouse wheel, if you adjust the camera with the left mouse click there is a big chance you will move your character... Look, I had to use combined controls mouse and keyboard when it is really not necessary. You can skip this one because if offers less than the first game. I do not enjoy writing a negative review for a indie title but I have to be honest. My honest opinion is that you should buy the first game and ignore this one.

About Love, Hate And The Other Ones 2 is a charming sequel that brings back everything I loved about the original. The puzzles are clever, the art style is quirky and adorable, and the new mechanics add fresh challenges. Perfect for puzzle fans!
