About Aegis Descent
Aegis Descent is a fast-paced action game set at the end of WW2. It blends the intense combat gameplay of a vehicle shooter with the strategy and replayability of the roguelite genre.
Experimental Technology
Take control of a new experimental vehicle, the Aegis, and blast your way through the enemy forces. Our research scientists have developed this vehicle, specifically designed for combat in the caverns below. It has the armor of a heavy tank, the weapon arsenal of a destroyer and the maneuverability of an airship.
Resources & Perks
As you descend deeper, you’ll be able scavenge technology from the facility to replenish your resources, supplement your ammo supplies and acquire new perks. To emerge victorious you’ll need to choose your route through the caverns wisely.
Unlock new options
Even if your run ends in destruction, your sacrifice will not be in vain. You’ll have gathered important intel for the next brave pilot to be sent down into the depths. Unlock new pilot classes, weapons and perks by earning awards.
Loadouts
Pick from a variety of class and weapon loadouts for each run and combine perks into devastating combinations that will allow you to crush the alien menace and find out what waits in the deepest depths.
Every run takes you one step closer to victory and the pages of history.

A good effort, but falls short in my opinion. I dislike how you can't really fly, just only hover - and it's dependent on a resource which feels critical for boss fights. The voice acting and music is awful, but you can look past it. Gameplay has great foundations but it's brought down by the flaws.9 found this helpful
Before even going into reviewing the gameplay I have to remark on that this game crashes a lot. I have basically been unable to finish the game since it always crashes before bosses. I have 8 hours playtime, and I have experienced atleast 6 crashes, and since all progression is lost when it crashes it is impossible to finish the game. And moving on to the gameplay I have to say that this game sadly is a big disappointment. The gameplay is way to boring, way to grindy and you don't feel like you are progressing at all. Every arena is just about running around looking on the walls to find every objective, it's not really about combat. And speaking of combat, the idea of a mech chassi that is visible on screen is one thing, but having it constantly lagging behind the mouse-look is horrible. It is clear that the developers thought that it is unrealistic to have a mech instantly turning, so they went with the realism at the cost of gameplay experience. This way of thinking occurs in other parts of the game aswell, where they have gone for something that looks good and feels cool, but gets really annoying really fast when you have to do it several times. Loved it. I did get it for free, due to me being friends with somebody apart of the development. It's a great game, pretty grindy, but a great game. Graphics are amazing for any pc, and the HUD is so nicely added to the game,
A really fun game marred by frequent stuttering and crashes EDIT- tried various visual settings trying to fix it which didnt work, saw people saying to update your graphics drivers and rolled my eyes like most people do only to find out my graphics driver WAS a few months out of date and updating it FIXED ALL CRASHES AND STUTTERING! Egg on my face, review is now positive.
