About Nebula's Descent
BITE-SIZED, BULLET-HELL, ROGUE-LIKE, SCORE-ATTACK, TWIN-STICK!
Get into the research lab, throw black holes, try to survive, defeat the final boss, and get to the top of the leaderboards! Nebula's Descent is a game made by 8 university students over 10 weeks for the Ubisoft Game Lab competition.
Nebula's Descent features:
- Steam Leaderboards where you can compete with your friends and the world
- 19 rooms with 7 enemy spawn patterns each
- Bullet Hell Gameplay
- A Final Boss
- Points-based continue system, allowing anyone to finish the game while rewarding successful players with better scores
- Blackhole Grenade and Box Spawn combat abilities
- Points-based upgrade system where you can enhance your weapon, health or abilities
- Colorful, bright graphics with tons of particles and a unique style
- Great Optimization.

There are some wacky things that go on behind the scenes when it comes to some of the “games” uploaded to steam. There’s everything from - Respectable, to low effort, to no effort, to asset flips, to YOU NAME IT! I’m not quite sure where this one fits in? I wouldn’t put it in the “No effort” or “respectable” category - what’s here is the beginning of something that I could see being very good, and it’s a shame, because if it was more than 1 level, and a few of the weird camera angles were fixed, and a ton of unlockables were added… well, maybe one day we’ll see if the developers care to make a great game or not.2 found this helpful

this game was a really fun couple hours. highly recommend playing this while you need to listen to a book or a podcast and you wanna focus hard. the story and mechanics are sparse, but it doesnt need it. you play this when you want your hands to stay busy while your mind is. still delivers on cool moments
great game. amazing actually done by a super talented guy. i love it. i am obsessed with this game. it's super fun and the visuals are amazinnggg. absolutely go for it.
