Aether FIR ATC Simulator

So I've been searching for an area control game for a bit, found this out, got really excited then really disappointed, I code too, I know how tempting it is to use AI but if you are gonna completely vibe code a game and then let's at least try it out and make sure the game is actually playable, and fun. let's go over some very important ACC features that are not here: 1-Semi-Circular Rule 2-Handoffs 3-Anyways to reroute if needed (i might have missed this, hopefully not) This game has "Deep ATC Mechanics" in the Key Features, which I think is misleading. Not all ATC games has to be realistic, but this game is a mix of both realistic and arcade-style which is really not that fun or interesting for both, it kinda is more "arcadic" more tho I sadly will not recommend if you are going for something realistic as advertised. (It's good for a free game too, keep it up, dev) (also let's change the application name, it's ATC simulator)

First, it's free. There's only so much you can complain about free. This is the first ATC game I've played. It's been helping me understand how these games work and whether they are something I'd enjoy. (granted, maybe other games have better tutorials. I have no idea at the moment.) I suspect it is relatively simple. (Again, I don't have anything to compare it with.) But that's what I needed. Let me repeat: free. =) The concept of the "open sector" option seems to be just throwing more planes at me until someone dies. They show up way faster than they are reaching their destinations, I do wish there were a few more instructions about goals for various different types of play.

I am aware that this game is probably a Claude code creation but I think that's fine given that it's free. This game has a lot of potential, especially as there's such slim picking for area control, with most games going down the approach/TRACON route. In terms of features, I'd like to see: - Adjacent sectors with which you can co-ordinate XFL/NFLs. - Handovers - Aircraft checking in once on frequency. - Voice commands would be good. - Greater control over flow rates & Expanded score/difficulty system, similar to EndlessATC where the flow rate increases as you successfully manage flights through your sector. - Weather - Emergencies & requests from aircraft for new cruise levels, re-routing etc.

Fun little area control sim and okay game overall, considering that it's free to play. Somewhat realistic might lack some real functions like flight plan conflict alert, cross sector level/speed/hdg coordination or handoffs etc. but overall okay enough for someone who wants to do area control for fun. Since we already have real airliners in here, it would be nicer if the dev provided adjacent unit names and frequencies to transfer for max roleplay.
