About Air Conflicts: Secret Wars
Pilot over 16 historic aircraft through 49 missions across seven World War campaigns, choosing between arcade and simulation controls to complete diverse objectives like dogfights, bombing runs, and escort missions. Upgrade your piloting skills between missions and compete with up to four players in local or online multiplayer modes.
Within the missions the player gets different objectives like patrolling, sneaking, hit & run, bombing and escorting. Objectives are presented as dialogues between different characters. After some missions the player can upgrade one of his skills in order to maneuver the airplanes easier, have more endurance or have your wingman boosted. Further, the player can choose between two control schemes. Arcade and simulation. The first one makes the game easier to control, while the second one gives more options to control the aircraft.

Air Conflicts: Secret Wars is one of those games that are so obscure, id be surprised if anyone read this review. But as this was a childhood staple for me on the Xbox 360 way back in the day I thought id give it some words. Nostalgia bias aside, this game has definitely not aged well presentation wise, with mission briefings in comic sans font and spelling mistakes. And some missions are either filler and take two minutes to complete (smuggling runs). Or feel so utterly contrived it makes either very little historical/logical sense or just straight up pointless. That being said this game does actually have a story, which punches way above its weight for an arcade flyer from 2011. With chapters in Yugoslavia, Slovakia, Libya among other creative sets from World War 2 that a lot of people don't know happened in real life. But the downside is that combat does get repetitive with only a handful of times the enemy aircraft pose any real difficulty. If you want an interesting flying game to play to pass some time, this is definitely for you. If there was a "mid" review option, this game would definitely fit that criteria. But it's hardly a bad game. 5.5/101 found this helpful
Been one of my favourites as a single campaign. Would love to see more series like those
Awsome
this is a fun and awesome game it's sad to see it catch up dust and never getting a remasterd version
This is a very fun, if also very imperfect WWII (and WWI) flight simulator. (That explains its low reviews.) There is a a lot to criticize, but the flying and shooting down or hitting ground targets are a blast. The price is not bad. Most flight simulators now are so technical that you get frustrated and quit. I miss the flight simulators of the early 90s that were often very fun and which didn't have an impossible learning curve. This game, Air Conflicts Secret Wars, is like those, fun without an insane learning curve. This game has takeoffs or landings. They are too easy, but it's better than nothing. (I'm hoping that is improve in the sequels.) The game has a very melodramatic plot with a young woman pilot who is a hero surrounded by hard drinking male veterans, It's almost laughably corny sometimes. But, you can skip a lot (but not all) of the cut scenes. One annoying thing is being forced to listen to the same dialog over and over which you can't bypass while you retry the harder missions. Finally, some of the missions are just TOO frustrating, even on the easiest of settings. I don't know what the game programmers/testers were thinking. The a…
