Alien Strike: Blasting the Intruders is a fantastic run and gun game that is clearly inspired by Contra. Everything from the character movements to the stage design and weapon swapping feels like a tribute to Konami’s classic series. The visuals and music are excellent, the action is fast and chaotic, and the game was enjoyable from start to finish. I would definitely recommend to fans of Contra, and it's almost as good as 2019's Blazing Chrome.6 found this helpful

It carries the flavor of old childhood memories while showing the potential to become even more. Combo Game Studio lays its cards on the table with Alien Strike: Blasting the Intruders, a game that certainly faced some issues at launch, but whose developers are actively listening to community feedback and working to improve the experience. Whether through its iconic voice acting in its country of origin — which comes as a wonderful surprise for Brazilian fans — or through its strong resemblance to classic arcade games, Alien Strike captures a nostalgic atmosphere that feels genuinely delightful for those who grew up with that era. The game looks beautiful, and the animations were carefully crafted. There were even a few bugs that ended up being unintentionally funny — and, as a writer’s note, I can honestly say they gave us some genuine laughs when they happened. Thankfully, many of those issues have already been addressed. Alien Strike: Blasting the Intruders is a simple game in the best possible way. Picked this game up after playing the demo from an Indie event. It's not a bad game from a small Brazillian (I think) team. PROS: + Contra style of play is pretty responsive + Art Style is nice + Music is solid CONS: - Some of the platforming parts are a bit wonky/unresponsive - ladder movement is a bit stiff especially when shooting. - Enemy placement (especially in later stages) seem a bit unfair/Trap like - Some of the bosses are a bit confusing (especially near the end) OVERALL SCORE: 6.5/10 If you like Contra, you should give this a shot and see if you like it!
its one of the worst games I've ever played
Absolute waste of money and time. Worst run and gun. There's literally 10 different enemies in the game that repeat. Unfair situations test your patience. I beat Contra without the code. This has purposeful traps, bad music and again repeat enemies from first level to last. Do NOT buy!
