Ravenbound

It's a shame. This game has real promise: the combat (for the most part — looking at you, Twin Blades) is fun, the world is beautifully made, and the story is easy to follow and slip into. But it seems like the developers rushed to put it out, and it suffers from a lot of that promise being broken. Buy it on sale.

Game is ♥♥♥♥ got it on sale for $6 wish I hadn't. it isn't really open world you don't explore you are limited in your loot. combat is REALLY stiff which is the selling point of a combat game like this and it is a complete failure. I have seen survival crafters with smoother combat.

I dunno, I really like this janky-ass little game for some reason. I had quite a bit of fun with it, and I actually wanna get back into it soon as I never did "complete" it. I hate that the devs abandoned it. For some reason the concept is just really appealing, I like the world design, and the card system. It's fun if you get it for cheap.

unoptimized and unfinished game

Game has huge potential, but devs abandoned the game right after release. Seems like they abandoned the game long before launch, but was way too deep in the development that they had to release it. In this state i can't recommend it to anyone. If it had some more love, it could've become one hell of a game.

There seems to be a lot of people that dislike this game but I think it's a fun roguelite game. There are some bugs here and there but for the most part, I didn't run into any major issues. It did crash on me twice but I've only put 2 hours into the game as of this review. I'll definitely come back and update the review after I get some more hours into the game but I definitely think it's a fun roguelite, especially if you get it at a discount. The combat is a bit jank but not too bad. It reminds me of soulslike combat with perfect dodging and parrying. There is also a posture bar and I have an issue with it because even with perfect parries, your posture bar still fills up and once it's full, you take a chunk of damage. I think if you're hitting perfect parries, there should be no damage. You're not being rewarded for skillful gameplay. If that was fixed, the combat would be a lot better. So you're left relying on perfect dodging to avoid damage but you only get two dodges, then you have to wait a short period before you can dodge again. That doesn't work against most boss fights because they attack quickly and consecutively. So you have to weave in perfect dodging, parrying, bloc…
