About Ara Fell: Enhanced Edition
Join a young woman and her diverse companions in a race against time to save their floating world from falling from the sky in this story-rich RPG that blends Japanese and Western traditions with tactical combat and exploration. Ara Fell stands out through its emotionally driven narrative, deeply realized characters with interconnected motivations, and a sprawling world designed to reward curious adventurers who venture beyond the main path.

Ara Fell combines the best parts of Japanese-style roleplaying games with the best parts of western RPGs, as well as including elements of visual novels and adventure games to create a truly unique experience. Atmosphere, emotion and surprise lie at the forefront of Ara Fell's story, driven by deep and accessible characters, each with his or her own past, their own desires and their own motivations for joining Lita's quest. Relive the golden age of the RPG with a game that both pays homage to the past greats, as well as blazing its own trail.
The new Enhanced Edition features a slew of upgrades, including a revamped battle system, new character classes and skills, new side quests, an overhauled UI, upgraded crafting system, new enchanting system, enhanced aspect ratios, new difficulty modes, an autosave feature, Twitch integration, and more!

- EXPLORATION - Ara Fell is a world meant to be explored! Jump, crawl, swim and even fly through the air to solve puzzles and discover new locations filled with hidden treasure, secrets and adventure! Every corner of Ara Fell is designed with exploration in mind.
- OPEN WORLD - Most of the world can be explored from the moment you leave Aloria Village, the heroine's home town... provided, of course, you're strong enough. A clever explorer may be able unlock secrets and discover powerful equipment early in the game if he or she commits to taking advantage of the open nature of the game world.
- TACTICAL COMBAT - Ara Fell may be a story-heavy game, but the world is still fraught with danger. Choose specialized equipment and statistics, customizing each character to best suit your play style, and to best thwart each boss battle's unique mechanics.
- CHARACTER DRIVEN - When you join Ara Fell's unwitting heroine on her quest to save her homeland, you'll discover a world filled with vibrant characters who laugh, cry, crack jokes, lose their tempers, and even their will to go on as the size and scope of the curse that plagues Ara Fell becomes apparent. Friends and villains alike are not who they seem as the stakes grow ever higher...

If you like a laid back JRPG with nice pixel art and good mechanics, give this game a try.
The greatest joy I got in Ara Fell was how the sheer amount of customization of character stats let me build a character with a 100% crit rate. What more could you ask for? The writing is solid, though I did feel the characters could have been fleshed out more, and the ending is particularly narratively impactful.
An utterly wonderful old school JRPG. The game features pixel art reminiscent of the SNES or Sega Genesis, and it looks wonderful. The story and characters are both terrific, though the story does occasionally hand wave things to keep the party in the driver's seat, but was done sparingly enough that I didn't mind that much. The music was also terrific. If there is one weakness it would be the combat during the regular encounters, it's not as simple as an older Final Fantasy game, where you only have a basic attack, and one caster, but it's not much more complicated, and it does get a bit repetitive, but for boss fights it gets a lot more fun. If you are familiar with these games or prone to grinding at all play on hard, if both, play on expert. I did my first playthrough on hard, and by the end even that was kind of easy. Lastly, a fairly completionist playthrough is likely about 20-25 hours, I came pretty close to getting everything at 21 hours. I strongly recommend this for any old school JRPG/RPG lover, and anyone that likes a good story well told! At $10 this is a great deal, and at the $4 I paid on sale, I feel like I stole something.
It looks like a JRPG and it plays like a JRPG, but it doesn't sound or talk like one. And thank god for that. This game has all the classic JRPG gameplay and systems, but with actually competent writing/story telling (unlike a lot of JRPGs).
Not quite done with it yet, but looking forward to seeing how it ends. It's a well made JRPG, with an engaging story, and a surprising number of nice quality of life features that I really wish more PRGs in general had to offer (are you sure you want to go in that room checks, ability to easily skip cutscenes, and a built in alternate for color blind / low vision players to complete a color-based puzzle.
just finished the game, it was a wonderful experience. So much love was put into the game. Feels slightly heartbreaking to see that this is where my adventures with Lita and friends end. Thank you so much for the experience.
