Dude, I put 2 dollars worth of quarters in this thing and still haven't beaten it. The microtransactions in this during the Arcade days were INSANE.. Good thing I can now play it at home as much as I want, FOREVER.1 found this helpful
An arcade classic! Might be a bit biased, but personally my favorite arcade game of all time. Playing on keyboard an mouse feels a bit clunky compared to how it's supposed to be played (i.e. joystick and fire button), but using a controller is a close second. As an achievement hunter, I like that the milestones actually provide a bit of a challenge to work towards other than just beating my own high scores. Nostalgia aside, I still consider this one a 10/10, would highly recommend if you are into arcade games.1 found this helpful
I had to turn off v-sync with NVIDIA control panel for the game to perform smoother, but past that it's a good arcade port with a surprising amount of options + a leaderboard. I hope they create an official way to play Galaga '88, for that's the best one. Until then, hoisten the sails.1 found this helpful
What a lazy port. Poor screen scaling support and terrible controller support. The game itself is fine but the sound quality seems off. Shockingly, this plays far better on the Switch 2.
