This game is so elegant, nothing needs to be signposted. You get in a mech and you learn the Beast. Such excellence all round!
It's much better than I expected, given the very low price. It's a good "survivors" game in which the mechs feels like actual mechs, with proper momentum and slow movement of a proper machine weighting tons. It's not just a mech skin over a character. It's hard enough to demand your attention, but not so hard progress becomes too difficult. Gladly recommend it.
Decent representation of big stompy mecha in a bullet heaven format.
hello
It's a good autoshooter, but it could do with some QOL patches: A better in-game UI to track unlocks/upgrades, and some Steam achievements would be nice. Sometimes It's hard to get a good build due to how many weapons/upgrades there are, compared to the limited selection/re-rolls you get on level up's. I understand It's a roguelike and you need to adapt, but you chose a pilot and mech before the mission, both coming with specific bonuses, and getting the right gear to compliment these once you start can range from difficult to sometimes impossible. It certainly deserves more recognition than the 44 reviews it has...
Game is not bad for what it is, VampSurvLike/Bullet heaven. Mechs/pilots combos are an interesting twist on the approach. It lack the polish and some of quality of live, but I guess I was spoiled by the likes of Brotato. Unfortunately, at it is right now I can't recommend the game as it is still buggy. Especially annoying crash to desktop bug at the end of the round when you loose, it wouldn't be too bad if I just needed to restart the game, but it looses all the progress that was acquired said mission. This happened twice in 2 hours I played, both times discarding 10+ minutes of progress... If one look at the game's discussions you will see that the bug was reported more than a year ago. I may revisit this review if there is an update fixing the bug, but it was a while since game was last patched....
