About Artifex Legends
Forge Your LegendIn Artifex Legends, power is earned through curiosity and conquest. Step into a handcrafted realm where your progress is defined by the gear you scavenge, the talents you master, and the mysteries you uncover. You aren’t just a traveler; you are a pioneer in a world where your choices and your treasures define the legend you become.🗺️ Explore a Handcrafted WorldExperience a landscape built with intent. Rather than endless random generation, explore stylized biomes designed to set the stage for your journey.
🛡️ Play Your WayYour hero’s growth is visible, tangible, and entirely in your hands. Define your identity through the gear you wear and the skills you master.
- Uncover the Lore: Piece together the history of a silent realm by discovering hidden entries and fragments of a forgotten past.
- Search for Secrets: While not every trail leads to treasure, the observant explorer will find tucked-away secrets and rare rewards hidden within the environment.
- Atmospheric Discovery: Immerse yourself in a world that balances beauty with danger, where exploration is its own reward.
- Resource Events: While gathering materials, encounter unique challenges and dynamic events that break the mold of the standard progress bar.
- Active Participation: Engaging with these events adds a layer of action to your search for supplies, turning routine tasks into gameplay moments.
- Beyond Equipment: Find rare resources, ancient artifacts, and valuable materials that fuel your progression and your coffers.
- Randomized vs. Unique: Hunt for gear with randomized attributes for a perfect stat-roll, or seek out "Uniques"—one-of-a-kind items with fixed, powerful traits.
- Trash to Treasure: Found an item you don't need? Every piece of loot has value. Sell unwanted hauls to local merchants to fund the purchase of what you truly need.
🛡️ Play Your WayYour hero’s growth is visible, tangible, and entirely in your hands. Define your identity through the gear you wear and the skills you master.
- Deep Customization: Mix and match your equipment, skills, and talents to create a build that matches your specific playstyle.
- Visual Evolution: Watch your character transform. As you equip higher-tier gear, your appearance evolves from a basic wanderer into a formidable legend.
- Total Identity: Choose your gear not just for the stats, but for the look. Forge a legend that commands respect in every encounter.
- Synergy in Motion: Victory relies on how you weave your chosen abilities together with the loot you’ve scavenged.
- Engaging Encounters: While your talents and trained skills provide the foundation, you must still navigate the dangers of combat with active, intentional play.
- Visible Growth: Return to difficult areas with your improved arsenal and feel the visceral difference that your strategic choices—and your gear—have made.

Not ready for paid early access. It's maybe at the free demo, please send us your feedback stage, but honestly, even that's a stretch. This isn't ready to be in anyone's hands outside the dev team and their personal contacts. There are zero in-game prompts, the conversation menus are just text blocks with no formatting and terrible word wrapping. The only place to find any kind of guide to how to do literally anything is a .txt document hosted online. Honestly, this seems like a game that the devs are passionate about, but it's just not ready to be asking people for money; the game systems seem novel and based on some cool ideas, but that's really all they are at this stage. The implementation is on par with what I'd expect from a senior in his or her Bachelor's program to turn in: a cool idea that needs about 10x the amount of time put into it and several years' more experience in how to develop a UI (really the whole UX concept is missing, so scoping to the UI isn't really fair). Maybe just keep an eye on it for a while and see if it gets better, but in its current state, Artifex Legends isn't worth taking up space in my library, much less the $6 it cost to purchase.6 found this helpful
Wanted to like the game. Too many issues for me at the moment. Will keep an eye out for updates.1 found this helpful
