Hello Jaybot7, I hope you've been doing well. Thank you so much for making Treasure of Memories, I've had a TON of fun playing and I'm just really, really happy to see these characters again and what transpired since the last games =) I've played all of the Arvale games (JOI, OOT, AST) with the exception of Melonchi Minecarts, I unfortunately didn't manage to get my hands on it. But it was so thrilling too see and explore the rest of Arvale, both visiting locations from the previous games and even some new ones! Like Garga! I remember it being teased in Arvale Short Tales while playing Tabby's storyline... He and his brother were from Garga after all. I'm so glad you managed to expand on your Arvale worldbuilding with this game. And I finally know what this orb was Duncan got from Kryphen at the end of JOI... it was driving me insane! And Duncan apparently too, haha! I have the Deluxe version, which means I got the folder with the official soundtrack of the other games. However, I noticed the music from Arvale Short Tales is missing? As well as the final boss theme (vs. Cedar) from OOT. Was that intentional? It's really sad to see the Arvale series fade into obscurity…

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... As someone who has played earlier games about Duncan, Arvale etc, I was excited to see this pop up. Lots of mixed reviews, but the previous games were so charming I thought I'd give it a go. And I'm glad I did! First the cons: the game is a little laggy (not horribly so, and it gets better once the second character joins), and the walking speed is painfully slow. I mean slooooow. But the game! The best part is the story and the characters. Duncan, our hero, has lost his memory of all his previous exploits, and goes on a quest to get his memory back. He meets a lot of different characters along the way, all with their unique personalities and abilities. The dialogue is witty and fun (don't forget to talk to the wheelbarrows, pots, barrels etc), and it really helps develop the story. Game play is pretty much standard RPG - you level up, get more abilities, get better equipment. I loved that foes were visible and you could generally walk around them if you wanted to (and they don't chase you!). All in all, I really enjoyed this game, and am looking forward to more of Duncan in the future!
