Gegi,
I dug a bit in the old web archives again and found something you might enjoy.

You're always complaining about your boredom on the night shifts in your little cell on the solar panel deck... The software I found could give you an interesting perspective on how life must have been down there back then - just give it a try.

If you have any difficulties, just call me!
Oh, and it will definitely be difficult, so please don't be frustrated ;)

love, Kia

P.S.: I also found a description of an ancient digital shop page - I'll attach it if you really want to spoil the surprise ;-)

That ending is such a gut punch. Worth struggling through the controls.

I'm sure there is a good story but I just can't play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. 1)It defaults to whatever resolution it wants, not respecting mine. Which means: all subtitles are FAR BELOW the screen, making me unable to understand ♥♥♥♥ (doesn't help that the whole game is dubbed in german). 2)The awful controls. 9/10 times it just refuses to register a jump, if you're sprinting. The controller vibration gets annoying, too. It's as if something is overheating. Pressure on the pad keeps going further and further. 3)Even if I decide that I don't want to play the story and try out arcade mode another issue appears: I just cannot hunt ♥♥♥♥. Story never teaches you how, to begin with and I already roamed around the entire areas that are unlocked to me, at the time. And how do I know that, despite not being able to read any subtitle? Because the "press X button to do Y" hints appears in the middle of the screen, usually after a conversation. The artstyle and the soundtrack are pretty well done but, given all the issues above, it's literally impossible to play. What a shame. EDIT: Okay I managed to finish it. I had to force the .exe into a godawful resolution (640xwhatever), for starters. All…

I sat down with this one at the desk, not the couch, and that set the tone straightaway. It wanted keys, not a lap. That meant the children watched more than they played, and only for as long as standing behind a chair will allow. It is a gentle thing. It leads you by the hand and does not trick you. I always knew what I was doing. The path was clear, with room to step back and look around if I wished. That steadiness was kind. There was no scolding, no sudden cruelty, no sense of being set up to fail. The trouble came from the house, not the heart. It stumbled. Errors. Crashes. The sort of thing that breaks an evening clean in half. Like a lamp that flickers just enough to make you stop reading. I learned to step around it, but I should not have had to. The children liked the fox. They liked watching the forest unfold. It held them quietly, which I appreciated. Still, it kept its distance. It did not invite hands easily, and it did not forgive interruptions. When it ended, it felt finished. Properly so. I set it down without regret. It behaved well in spirit, if not always in practice. I’m glad we visited.

The meta, playing as someone playing a game, really took me out.
