About Foxfolk
How long can your family survive during the sudden onset of winter?
You are the provider. The glue that holds this little family together. Unfortunately winter has come and you have no way of weathering it. Instead of hunkering down and riding it out. You must now go out into the woods and find what survival you can. You play as a fox, Mr. Fox. You are a predator and as such you hunt smaller animals and inside your burrow you need to keep your family warm. Hunt for food and gather wood for the fire. Keep an eye on the time of day and weather. The forest is full of opportunity. Your family is counting on you. Good luck.
This is my first finished project. I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I loved building it. I am working on a update for this "Short Story" of a game. Thanks again for checking it out!

Players praise the game's cozy atmosphere, charming art style, and relaxing simplicity, with many finding the survival mechanics engaging and emotionally rewarding. However, common complaints include poor controls that lack remapping or controller support causing physical discomfort, inconsistent resource spawning that can make gathering frustratingly difficult, and the lack of post-launch updates leaving the game feeling incomplete despite its potential.
a cozy little survival RPG. as Mr. Fox you brave the cold, scavenging in hopes that your little fox family can make it through the winter. 10/10, there is a raccoon in this game 2 found this helpful
I really like the atmosphere and artstyle, but the controls are very bad and my hands hurt so much after playing for just a bit that I had to give up. It's arrow keys and then A and S for certain actions, not remappable and no controller support, arrow keys is always very painful (for me at least). The other thing is how finding supplies can be far too difficult, my first playthrough for several days I had no wood or sticks spawn anywhere at all, so I tried resetting and that fixed it, but after my second day I would run around the whole map and struggle to find even a single little bird. I don't like writing negative reviews, so please take this as a recommendation on how the game could be improved and not as complaining or anything of that kind ❤2 found this helpful
This is so sad... The game itself has so much potential. But it got 0 updates after release. Dear Dev, if you read this, just know, there's a bunch of people, who like your game... And we do wait for any future improovements :D! Well, anyway, Thanks for the expirience I got, while playing this game.1 found this helpful
This game is about as simple as they come. Go out and find sticks and logs to keep the fire going. Hunt for birds, squirrels, and rabbits to feed your family. And...that's really it. A gathering game. So why is it so relaxing and fun to play? Maybe because it IS so simple and straightforward. Plus- there is more to it than that, but in subtle ways. For one thing, there are two bars on the screen: one indicating warmth and one indicating hunger. If the hunger bar goes down all the way your family starves and it's game over. Warmth? No, your family does not freeze...but the lower the bar here the faster the Hunger bar goes down! Sometimes it snows, and this covers your tracks. Sticks and logs vanish after each day, so a log which was by grumpy Mr. Badger's home may be gone by tomorrow- but any prey you kill will still be there. Curious, but interesting. As the day wears on the trees' shadows shift and it gets darker. Sticks count as one "unit" of wood; logs, three. You cannot drop a stick to pick up a log instead outside of your home, so there is a bit of a gamble there. Likewise prey. Once you pick up something outside you are stuck with it until you get home. ALWAYS rememb…
This game is very quaint and cute, Its worth 1.99 to support an individual, the little lines of dialogue, the gentle music and the retro sounds are really comforting, its a story and well worth experiencing <3
Short sweet game. A bit repetitive by the time you get to the end (
30th day
), but if you really figure it out, you can skip a day or two at a time, or if you know how long it'll last, you can skip the last few/several days if you stockpile well.
