What Steam players say

Aztez is a stylish beat-em-up with deep, technical combat that rewards learning animation cancels and experimenting with its eight weapon movesets, wrapped in a roguelite strategy layer that players find engaging and replayable. However, some find the combat feels clunky and lack fluidity, and the campaign's time pressure and unclear objectives frustrate rather than motivate.
Really fun little hidden gem of a game. Much recommend.1 found this helpful
If you like good games, buy Aztez. So many good hours here. It's hard to describe this game since it is it's own thing. It almost feels lazy to label this game a beat-em up but I will say this is a must have in your library for beat-em up fans. Cult classic gaming right here1 found this helpful
Awesome game.
This game deserves more love and awareness of its existence! Imagine a 2d-Character action, style swapping, with 8 different weapons/movesets that you can string, combo, and chain together for variable domination of your enemy and control of grounded and aerial movement. Aztez ties together engaging and deep combat with a turn-based strategy decisions between your battles in a replayable roguelite format. I dont want to spoil the combat/weapon discovery but I'll just say learning to animation cancel your moves will open the window to nuerons firing! A Simple and fun concept that grows in difficulty and can still be a challenge at times. I also think the artstyle does a wonderful job at merging 3d assets with 2d. The visual style grew on me.
my eyes!
Combat feels janky and lacks fluidity. Campaign is confusing and I hate the ever impending time limit factor.
