Back：Fade

Second game from the Back series and this time you have several characters! Too bad that the story is once more very short and these new characters are not flesh out at all. It it disappointing, it could have been sooooo much better. The story is still nice and while there's is a vague connection with the first one you don't need to play the first one but at the same time I would because it was a nice game. Back: Fade, is not bad but I would say I prefer the first one and I really wanted to like the sequel more. Having more character was the right choice.....having more scenes and give more time to those characters would have been the better and correct choice tho. This time the extra contents are some cool behind the scene video..however they forgot to put subs for them so..great : | . The visual are very good it's just sad to see so much potential not fully utilized.

The sequel to Back starts right where the last part began. Our Protagonist wakes up in the hospital. And he instantly lands together with six other people in another mystery mansion with another Ghost Story to solve. Can he and some more of the members survive? As the first Back game it´s the same great quality. A very entertaining ghost story and charismatic actors. Filming has the qualtiy of a modern TV movie. Gameplay keeps you entertained for three to four hours. Depending if you try to view the missing options. (There is a Skipping Opton after completing the game so you don´t have to watch everything again). Translation is not perfect but some mismatgch between chinese and american phrases aside you can still very easily follow the story and don´t miss anything. I can highly recommend the game and the price is more than justified. Buy this without regret. One last hint beating the game with access to all possible endings in one setting: You deserve the first piece of cake. Don´t be modest.

Bought because of 胡少琛 Hu Shaochen (i.e. Gaoyan) and I'll buy the sequel because she's (clearly) supposed to be in it. "Game" itself is extremely slow, boring and linear - more like a low budget movie. Maybe at 2.0x or 3.0x speed it will be borderline tolerable. The pacing picks up towards the end, as it should, but I'm sure a lot of players would have refunded/gave-up by the end. Edit 1: Finished the game and activated "Xfiles". Just the interviews are worth the price for a Hu Shaochen fan. A bit low-res though. Edit 2: Suggestions to developer (though from what I understand the sequel is already on the way): - I think the sequel can lean more towards a "movie" because that's what we expect any way, just the occasional choice is fine. - Make the pacing (much) faster and maybe add some jump scares (cheap but effective). - Most importantly longer interviews (with Hu Shaochen) and behind the scenes.
