Battle Babes

"Battle Babes" is a really mediocre "me too" card battler game that you're expected to spend a lot of money on DLC for. Amazingly this was kickstarted, but it seems like nobody who backed it bothered to play it (try to keep a straight face when you see the SteamdB player counts, this was a disaster). I guess part of the reason this failed so badly is because it looks like a mobile app, it's not truly free, and it's trying to compete with far better games (Hearthstone, MTG Arena etc) while offering far less. This is only free in a rudimentary sense... You don't get the full game, you have to spend an eye watering amount of money on DLC (FIFTY UNITED STATES DOLLARS) if you want the complete thing. The developer set out to mislead gamers by suggesting this is free when it's not... predatory and nasty monetization we expect from trashy mobile devs, and this kind of thing has no place on Steam. Even though this is misleadingly advertised as "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. Very low quality and low effort AI generated game. Today (25.06.2025) ZERO players online. No one play this game. Dont waste your time and money.

Surprisingly fun for a free game made with AI assets! Even more so considering that just buying only the latest DLC unlocks all prior DLC, than this is most certainly something I'm going to be playing and supporting for a while. My only gripe is that I wish there was an option to disable, or at least extend, the turn timer. I like taking my time to figure out the most optimal play. <3

was unimpressed! its too bad because it had potential. however the game is simply a watered down card game with basic MTG (magic the gathering) type ruleset. you saying well that sounds fun, in another game maybe, but this game throws you in the deep end and expects you to know how to swim already! the "tutorial" didnt show me how to play at all, but instead set me up in a challenge style match where you have to find the right combo of cards to clear the scenario! talk about trial by fire! when i got tired of that i figures id go into solo play and try my luck at my first achievement! no dice!
