So what if before Steller Blade, but Slay the Spire, and Neir Automata x Beast Wars bad guys. Sound good. Looks good. But kinda got bored... have played 1 run in about 4 sessions, and the run is still going. Its clearly designed for mobile though this hasn't got any microtransactions. The enemy designs are really cool, but again it just got boring for me, probably because there are so many other games like this that are a lot more polished and well fun. I do hope they do a sequel and really improve on this though. Note- If you are partially sighted with usable vision the game does work with magnifier and you are going to need it to read up on all the cards and abilities.

I genuinely enjoyed most of my time with NEOVERSE. The art style is flashy, the combat system is engaging, and the roguelike deckbuilding mechanics are solid and satisfying for the majority of a run. There’s a real sense of progression, experimentation, and discovery — until you reach the true boss. Unfortunately, the true boss completely undermines everything the game does well. Instead of serving as a fair but demanding final test of the systems you’ve mastered, the fight feels fundamentally poorly designed. The boss removes buffs, invalidates entire strategies, and essentially forces players into using very specific builds if they want a realistic chance at winning. That’s not smart difficulty — that’s hard counter design. One of the biggest strengths of roguelike deckbuilders is build diversity. You’re encouraged to experiment, combine synergies, and adapt based on what the run gives you. But the true boss in NEOVERSE punishes that freedom. If your build relies on stacking buffs, scaling over time, or certain synergy loops, the fight can simply shut you down. It doesn’t feel like you lost because you played poorly — it feels like you lost because you didn’t pick the “correct…

think i've finished with neoverse...getting a bit boring and repetitive got 13/37 ach - there's 0 story at all...1 hero is way harder than the other 2 to play, and that's the starting one...mainly cause they have no healing and not enough ways to reduce dmg, so you just die after enough battles and don't get to the end battle most of the time...

Excellent game. It has some fun achievements to grind out. It scratched the deck building itch that Tainted Grail and Midnight Suns left after 100 percenting.
