Promising bones that could be amazing with additional development. I liked Eternal Starlight and this felt very similar in concept. I like being able to see the fleet and move them around wherever needed. Having an interface to manage ship loadouts and tweak precise formations is very nice. Definitely going to list as a thumbs up for a good foundation. That being said, I do have some criticisms. The controls are difficult to say it nicely. There's a lot to do, a lot to manage, and it's all in your front view at the same time by default, though manually readjusting is possible. The joystick is frustrating and I can't quite work out it's mechanics enough to pilot reliably. Maybe that's my skill issue. Idk. Micromanagement being in the game can be good or bad depending on personal preference. I've played Paradox games, I'm no stranger to crazy amounts of micromanagement, and someone used to the HUD might find this level of customization helpful. My concern is that the casual player would be frustrated and overwhelmed by the options in front of them, especially with the controls making things tricky. All the reviews who say "It's too complicated" are really overexaggerating. This is my first real vr game on pc and it wasn't hard to learn the controls. 10/10 game

Its pretty fun, the only complaints i have are the controls, its a bit complicated and weird, but overall its pretty good!

I have experience with the original game which I played maybe a year ago. Despite that, getting used to the controls again took me a minute, but the tutorial gave me room to explore the best layout for all the panels and controls. I appreciate that the game loads up your preferred layout back up each time. Compared to the handful of scripted missions from the original, this campaign feels more fleshed out with cargo ships, mining ships, etc. Although I would appreciate more spontaneity (such as warping to a sector and needing to rescue a ship from an attack) and easier traveling between connected sectors so I don't have to warp multiple times to my destination (unless I am missing something). Looking forward to unlocking more of the new ships in the open world campaign and trying out the gauntlet, endless & multiplayer modes.

It doesnt even start. It is an absolute pain to even attempt to find anyone with this issue, and those who have this issue dont get answers. This game in its state (even if its early access) should not have been released in the first place. It doesnt feel like its worth the space even if it was a free game because of it.
