BC Kings is a fun prehistoric-themed RTS with an enjoyable story, responsive controls, and solid value for its low price, though players note it suffers from technical compatibility issues on some systems and occasional mission exploits. While the stone age setting is a nice departure from typical strategy games, some feel it lacks the polish and charm of better-established RTS titles in the genre.

BC Kings developed by Mascot Entertainment and published by Strategy First is a prehistoric-themed real-time strategy title that attempts to merge traditional base-building mechanics with light role-playing elements and a narrative-driven campaign. The premise alone distinguishes it from many other RTS titles of its era, replacing medieval castles or futuristic battlefields with primitive settlements, mystical creatures, and stylized tribal warfare. At its foundation, the game adheres to recognizable real-time strategy conventions. Players gather resources, construct buildings, train units, and expand territory while preparing for confrontation with enemy tribes. The economic loop revolves around collecting essential materials that fuel construction and technological advancement. A broad tech tree allows access to numerous upgrades and specialized units, encouraging strategic diversity in army composition. Over sixty unit types and dozens of structures provide a sense of scale, even i…
Well. It´s a C&C, Warcraft like Strategy. On the first appeal the stone age setting sounds appealing. But it lacks qualiy and charme on every pixel or polygon. Could have been so much more. And there is lot of Competition out there. Four 4 bucks it´s fine but there are so many C&C, Tempest Rising, 8-bit Armies/Hordes etc. and even Warwinds out there you definietely should pick first.
