Nice game to play co-op
Absolute epic! Highly recommend
Combat hit detection isn't great, for example, shooting an arrow at a guy with his shield down still hits the shield as if it was up. Structure boundaries are inconsistent making it hard to plan a city with roads. Really wish us players could up a building skill to be on par with NPC's ability to build multiple points at once in the higher tier structures. Need more uses for Stone and old gear, Tier 2 and higher you have a bunch of it clogging up storage and the efficient way to get rid of it is to manually throw it in the outhouse. Had fun city building until tier 3, then it pretty much became a waiting game for your NPC's to take their merry ol' time gathering the truck loads of needed materials, transporting them half way across the map, and having to build a structure with 500 pips cause doing any of those things yourself is actually LESS efficient. Final thought: Game needs a lot of balancing but my wife and I had plenty of fun moments in it. It's an interesting take on the survival/crafter genre.
Still a pretty heavily unpolished turd. It's basically Medieval Dynasty before they full launched. Everything feels really janky and unoptimized. Most directions are super unclear. Still a rough EA but I do see promise so I didn't want to refund, I think in another year or so it might be in a better place. But right now, unless you just want to support them, I'd say pass.
Don't leave review often, but Devs made horrid choices for combat that leave player constant on the short end of the stick. controls are janky, leaving very little agency to win an encounter. and non of this will be fix as PC was abandoned for counsel Came back to play with a friend and literally lost combat multiple times to boars and bandits due to terrible hit registration or being swarmed with 8 guys in one spot blocking all attack and attacking. Games other aspects are great, but combat which is forced onto you from doing something as simple as exploring is a terrible experience. Be prepared to get raided and just lose if your not runing cheese strats.
Lord Ashbourne had the right idea. Ignore the villagers and just tax them into oblivion. I build wood cutting stations, log splitting stations, provide endless fine axes, bows... empty my bloody coffers just trying to provide for their needs and yet they still need 500 pieces of wood and prosperity levels are decreasing. They can't be bothered to walk 5 meters to harvest all of the resources on their lands that I'm not allowed to touch, even if a tree outside of the village line I cut accidentally falls over into their territory. Prosperity gameplay aside, I spent a lot of time micromanaging building/worker priority only to have farm animals dying from starvation, meat rotting away unbutchered, and fields left unattended. Spent a lot of time just butchering fish and chickens and staring at my fields, hoe in hand to ensure that crops were planted. Riveting. Bugs were encountered throughout my playthrough, spent a lot of time trying to shove NPCs out of the building they just built or coaxing them around a mountain, slowly shepherding them around terrain that they might get game breakingly stuck in. Most annoying one I ran into though was the main story line not popping…
