"Blackout - Early Access" is an extraordinarly bad abandoned Early Access Unreal first person wave survival/arena shooter with some really ugly graphics, which poses a really interesting question... is this an asset flip? If so, where did the developer get such ugly assets from? Certainly, this is an assault on the eyes. Flip or not, the quality of the game is what you would expect from a bona fide asset flip... awful. It's no wonder it was a massive flop. The developers abandoned this 11 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. The graphics here are particularly awful, so bad that it actually stands out as one of the worst looking games on Steam. Quite an accomplishment. It's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead…1 found this helpful
i didn't like it. having to do the rituals over and over again at the beginning gets really old. I also thought it was way too hard for a single player
its fun
The game's mechanics and levels are very good generally speaking. Controls are not too difficult to learn and are beginner-friendly.
As an Early Access tester , I can say I had fun with this game. It is hard enough , has a nice movement (I really liked it) , improvable shooting - weapon mechanics aswell. Round by round , you can feel how the pressure gets higher , but how the upgrades depends , not as always. Or my tactics was not that impressive , and just somtimes worked out well... Within that , I can see this game could be pretty fine in the future on a lower price range , in my opinion maximum 5 Eu , cuz the title need to build itself , and getting a chance atleast from the players , us.
