About Blair Witch VR

Blair Witch: VR Edition is a story-driven psychological horror game based on the cinematic lore of Blair Witch. As Ellis, a former police officer with a troubled past, join the search for a missing boy in the iconic Black Hills Forest near Burkittsville, Maryland.

What starts as an ordinary investigation soon will make you confront your darkest nightmares - and an ominous force known as the Blair Witch. But you’re not going in alone: your trusty K-9 sidekick, Bullet, is by your side. He’s your eyes, ears, and nose in these treacherous and terrifying woods.

The game has been rebuilt for VR to offer a uniquely immersive and horrifying VR experience. With environments redesigned for more interactivity, new Bullet mechanics - such as gesture commands, actual hand-based petting and fetching - and additional creature encounters, you will experience the eerie atmosphere of the Black Hills Forest like never before.

These cursed woods will awaken your darkest fears.

If I knew reachin the cabin on the hill would require this much walking, I'd brough a quad. The Blair Witch VR is mostly a walking simulator. So much walking. But that makes sense. You are in a forest looking for a missing kid after all. Together with your loyal dog Bullet you set out on a long hike to find a missing kid. It starts pretty mundane but it gets more and more twisted as it goes on. Its a great game, it gets into your mind and later on you will understand things aren't the way you thought it to be. The flatscreen cutscenes are a bit weird in VR but not to bothersome either. There are 17 chapters but chapter 17 feels as long as the first 16 combined. Still, Blair Witch is a pretty good game. Pretty maddening, pretty scary. PS, pet the dog. It's animated. You can also play fetch if you find a good stick. I thought you might wanna know.4 found this helpful
I actually liked this. Atmospheric.1 found this helpful
Being completely honest with you, the specs are a little outdated, but that didn't stop me from enjoying this storyline or make me feel less emersed. Being honest, the type of horror this was, it's a little strange. Like it's not your typical constant jump scares, but it leads you through a story of self doubt. It's almost self questioning more than it is jump scares. Unique and I'd recommend for a playthrough, but I don't think it's the type of game you play more than once based upon its storyline. I do highly rate the game, it was just a shame about the graphics, all the woods look as awful as the RE7 woods in the intro to the game. Anyway, I hope this helps.1 found this helpful
amazing game to experience in VR! the last act is like a 20 minute horror house attraction and its great. Wish the late game cutscenes could have been in VR but overall still a good and quick horror game to enjoy
Played this when it came out on the Oculus Quest 2 in 2020. And I still love it to this day.
Really good VR adaptation. Visual to performance ratio could be better. Sometimes it was dropping frames but nothing serious.
