Blazing-Maidens

Blazing Maidens is a fun little survival action game that immediately feels familiar if I enjoy the Vampire Survivors style of gameplay. I control different heroines while facing increasingly large groups of shadow monsters, collecting experience and trying to survive until the end of each run. I liked how quickly the game gets into the action because there is very little standing between me and the next wave of enemies. The character selection is one of the better parts for me. Each heroine has her own abilities, passive talents and general play style, so choosing who I want to use can change the way I approach a run. I enjoyed experimenting with different characters because some feel much better suited to aggressive play while others encourage a more careful approach. The skill system gives the runs most of their variety. I collect Soul Embers and use them to improve weapons and abilities while combining different active and passive effects. I liked watching the build grow during a run, especially when several abilities begin working together and suddenly the screen fills with enemies and effects.
