You are Bolt, a robot inventor running a small, cozy shop where you tinker away creating all kinds of gadgets. It’s a simple life, but everything changes when one of your latest inventions suddenly becomes a huge hit. That success doesn’t sit well with the greedy businessman who owns the big store right across the street. All he cares about is profit, and when he starts losing customers, he decides to fight back in the worst way possible by unleashing a virus that sabotages your creations. To save your shop, you have to dive into each of your inventions and fix what’s been broken. Your shop serves as the starting point and main hub, explored from a first person perspective. At first glance, it’s packed with interesting details, though you can’t interact with much right away. The game immediately stands out with its bright, vibrant visuals. I was recommended this game by one of my viewers on my channel so I decided to give it a shot. I really enjoyed it. The artstyle is very cute and colourful and I liked the overall aesthetic of the robotic world. The levels provide a decent but not too hard of a challenge. The levels are always introducing a new game mechanic so you never get bored. I really liked how the exploration and trying to find everything in a level. My only complaint is that the boss battles are just "avoid the attacks until the boss lets you attack them" which, whilst I'm not too annoyed by, I know there are others that aren't into that type of boss battle. There were some glitches here and there, but I'm willing to give the game a pass as it is still in early access and the developer is clearly still making improvements to it. The improvements to the game with fixes are a great sign that the developer really cares about the game. When I played it again after a break, I visibly noticed certain changes and fixes to the game, from making it easier to pull bolts out of the ground, to adding fun billboards dotted throughout the level. Overall, whilst it won't blow your mind, I think this is a very fun game…

This game is pretty solid. Every single level feels pretty unique and themed around the 4 worlds that are in the game. It is simple to pick up and play, but with some decent platforming challenges for hidden collectables to aim for. Every single collectable felt like they have their place in the game that works with the evolving hub area. If you are a completionist, then you are in luck with 3 mircochips in almost every level, viruses to get rid of and scrap to collect. The games length will vary from player to player, but to complete the game would take roughly between 14 to 20 hours. I have ran into a few bugs here and there that have been since patched out, but considering its a one man team they have done an incredible job. Cheers and good luck for the full release in April.
