BOMCAT

Bomcat is a really great little 80s style arcade game. Nice pixel graphics and catchy tune. Destroy all four terminals using bombs to break the boss barrier, then hit him to chase him away until you reach the final stage where you must beat him to save your girlfriend. Throwing the bombs properly and timing the explosions takes some practice. Easy mode has scripted enemy patterns and is already quite challenging to clear at first. You can continue after death using fruit you pick up as credit. Hard mode has more enemies with random patterns, but no continues. An Extra Live is dropped about a minute after your bonus time runs out. This might just be added for one of the achievements. Only six stages including the boss fight but great level design, pretty diverse. No leaderboards, just the one highscore, which is a shame because it's quite an addictive score chaser (on Hard). A very fun and charming arcade game. Would be right at home as an arcade cabinet. I love the controls, the retro graphics, the sound, and the music. Very well put together.

A fun single screen platformer that we need more of. Stage layouts are well thought out because there are as many opportunities to maximize how many enemies to catch in a bomb explosion as there are ways to corner yourself between your own bomb and an enemy. Cute, quick, and simple yet engaging

Love these 80's arcade inspired games like Donut Dodo, Guard Grave, Murtop and Super Spy Raccoon. The bombs element is a fantastic and unique game element. I love the graphics and the tune is pretty catchy to. If you love those quick fix style modern retro arcade games, this is the perfect addition.
