Boris and the Dark Survival

It’s a neat little spin-off for Bendy fans, but the endless wandering down identical ink-stained hallways gets old fast. Stealth mechanics feel pretty shallow since you're mostly just running away from Boris's shadow and grabbing random items to progress. Hardcore horror fans might find it too repetitive, though it's decent for a quick nostalgia trip if you're bored.

Boris and the Dark Survival is a top-down survival horror spin-off in which Boris the Wolf scavenges supplies from the inky depths of Joey Drew Studios. Each procedurally generated run asks for a set of items to be gathered and returned to the lift, while a stalker prowls the level. The stalkers are the campaign's strongest element, with each one given a distinctive audio cue so their approach is always telegraphed. The Ink Demon announces itself with a heartbeat, Alice with humming, and the shuffle between pursuers keeps the loop from going entirely stale. The game is very brief, with a basic loop where one run shows everything on offer. The dead ends are the main frustration, since getting cornered with a stalker nearby leaves no real way out. The tapes add Bendy universe lore, including a twist around a trapped character. The lack of subtitles on the tapes is a strange omission, and the game has no credits, with finding everything counting as the ending. The unlockables give the runs purpose, from dance moves and extra characters to the Butcher Gang and a pinball-style minigame.
